I've been working on a bait launcher with interchangeable barrels (1 1/2-inch, 2-inch, and 3-inch barrels) which can be fired from my fishing cart. It normally takes about 30-45 seconds to switch from one barrel to another. I used a Union Joint to attach the barrels to the front of the trigger/handle of the 2-inch valve. The big green handle is the trigger. I leave the Union Joint loose until after I place the molded ice projectile into the barrel which allows the trapped air in the barrel to escape as the projectile slides down the barrel. The Union Joint must be tightened prior to firing the bait cannon.
I use different size projectiles to suit the larger requirements for rigging as in shark fishing which includes 3-4 feet of piano wire along with a small cable along with the bait and weight. These are rolled into an elongated mass and placed in a 3-inch x 12-inch long bait mold made from 3-inch PVC pipe and rubber end caps used to seal them while they are freezing to keep from making a mess in the freezer. I am planning on trips to South Carolina and Florida for surf fishing in the next month. Hopefully, I will be able to post some video of the catches from the trips.
UPDATE:
I caught two sharks with the new bait cannon (launcher). The first was caught at Edisto Beach, SC and was apparent Atlantic Sharp-nose Shark.. I say apparent because larger than most Sharknose at 5 feet in length. The second was a Blacktip Shark measuring close to 5 ft 6 inches in length.

Some specifications:
The ball valve is a Green Leaf 2 inch valve (Green Leaf 4 Bolt Ball Valve - 2”).
Amazon ($42.90):

Tractor Supply Company ($29.99):

The diameter of the reservoir pipe is 4” and taking into account the 2” fittings to the valve and back end, the volume is 1.1 cubic feet give or take a cubic inch or two.
I use two barrels - a 2” and a 3”.
2” - 49 1/2” long including the male portion of the union fitting. There is a drain grid inside to keep any possible debris from falling into the valve putting the barrel length where the ice bullet rests at 49”.
3” - 49” long including the male portion of the union fitting. There is also a drain grid and a 2” reducer, etc. where the barrel attaches to the reservoir putting the barrel length where the ice bullet rests at 42 1/2”
Update concerning electrical power and an adequate compressor:
I have refined the process at the beach by adding a little Tailgator generator purchased at Harbor Freight while it was on sale for $88 and a DEWALT D55140 1-Gallon 135 PSI Max Trim Compressor for $137.99 from Amazon.
My major problem was being able to efficiently charge the launcher up to 100 PSI because most compressors use way too much current so battery operated compressors were only good for a launch or two.
The Dewalt compressor solved this problem by only drawing 2.6 amps. This is way below the normal draw making it my choice. The Tailgator generator puts out 7 amps which is more than adequate to run the compressor as much as needed.

I also found the Tailgator on Amazon, but anywhere from $15-$35 higher than when it is on sale at Harbor Freight.
