🚐 We were brand new RVers, and traveling to Mexico sounded like fun.
If only it were that easy! 🇲🇽🏝
We've worked our way to the very bottom of Baja Mexico and now we're checking out the East Cape before heading north. If Cabo Pulmo isn't on your radar yet, it should be! Join us to see why 😀
Thanks for joining us, and we can't wait to share the amazing experiences awaiting you in Baja Mexico. In every episode, we share the twists and turns that make Baja a true adventure. We‘ll take you up and down the entire peninsula as we drive our 40' Class A motorhome, with a dog AND a baby on board, all while towing a full-size pickup. It's a handful. 🤦♂️

What we wanted
We’re the Ingram family, and like many Americans found ourselves wanting more. In 2013 Jenny, a disenchanted teacher 👩🏼🏫, and me (Jesse) a veteran working in the energy ⚡️ sector, left Florida and moved to the Pacific Northwest. We settled in a small town in the Cascade 🗻Mountains , and although our adventures were exciting as ever, something was still missing.
Consequences
With deep introspection, we discovered that adventure and excitement are shallow pursuits without freedom of time and location. Our growing bank account made us blind to the fact we were time-poor. ⏱💵
Steps to Liberation
The winter of 2015, we began the next phase of our journey seeking fulfilling lives. We attended Financial Peace University with some guy named Dave Ramsey, and I read “MMM” blogs + everything I could get my hands on about location independence and financial freedom. We became debt free and bought the ugliest house in the neighborhood, true story. 🏚
We dreamt how we would buy a sailboat and sail from one warm beach to the next, catching surf and sunburns along the way. Three years later, we’d done everything we could to build wealth and we cashed in. With our new baby 👶, sailing didn’t sound like the best plan so we got an RV and set aside enough money to travel for a year, or so we thought. 💵
What Matters Most
Turns out we were right. Time is one of the most valuable things we didn’t appreciate. Time to sleep in, time to explore, or time to stop everything we’re doing to enjoy a moment as a family. It’s easily overlooked, and heavily undervalued.
With our newfound freedom we set sights on Baja Mexico. The world’s third longest peninsula, full of tacos, beer, $3 lobsters, diving, kiting, off-roading and uncrowded surf. It’s time to live. 🚐🏄♂️🦞🏝🍺
