It's meant to replace tuk-tuk in India. And it is not being marketed as personal vehicle.

Well, It's not strange for car enthusiasts to critique this kit like this. I own the predecessor of this from India TATA NANO. With all its shortfalls I love IT. By no stretch of the imagination, I am not saying it's the safest car or the fastest. I wanted to get my wife out of a scooter and she needed a vehicle that can drive her home from work not getting wet. And this was the cheapest cabin available in a waterproof condition. And to your surprise, it did what we set out for. TATA NANO XTA has A/C, Power steering, Power break, front power windows, Bluetooth stereo, and AMT automatic transmission which does a pretty good job. The safety factor was "0" and I wanted to sell it and get a Datsun redi-GO which has a safer body. My wife said NO! my Fater too, Apparently it had more space and was easy for a senior citizen to get in and get out (they hate to travel in my car :( ). And she gets parking where nobody gets one!. Living in a city where the average speed is less than 29kM/hr I said screw the safety. My advice, suit your car to where you drive and how can you drive.

They should have called it a Bajaj 911. It's rear-engined and has a boot in the front, after all.

I would like to know why this deemed to be safer than a LHD car, quite frankly it is not. I cant bring in a LHD Corvette to use for 2 weekends a month but these can be sold to be used every single day.....amazing really amazing.

Government doesn't care about you, they only care about tax they'll be getting on sales of this Bajaj than your used Corvette.

But this Bajaj is amazing a bit like the Piaggio 3 cycle but with 4 wheels. If it were a 1 Cyl Diesel it would be an enormous hit here in North Africa as a mini pickup version.

People drive 70kph on the freeway with normal cars anyway, in the fast lane too, so what's the difference.
