This is a joke! Please do not miss represent our culture: Mark has lost the knowledge of our culture. In olden days the Bakiga had what was called okurigira ( an uncle, aunt family friend would pick a suitor for a son ), this meant they have assessed, done the background check so that the family she comes from has a good name, she is well mannered and hard working. The Bakiga marriage hard about four stages, Okushaba also known as okuhika muka if the girl had already stayed with the man, Okujugisa, okujuga, and okuhingira; the fifth stage is okugitwa which is the church wedding. The kanzus are borrowed from buganda. The kikiga dress code was empu ibiri (crisscrossed goat hide with knots on the shoulders); to day it is ekiteteya no mweda, for men it is oruhurumwe .

The dance of the Bakiga is not "ekitaguriro" It is "ekizino". Ekitagururo is Ankole dance!

The host of such programs should be serious in inviting the right discussants.. Even her, she seems to hail from Kigezi but she knows nothing sbout the language. In other words, she can't moderate well. How can she correct a mistake from the visitor? She just acceots everything!

Uhummmmmm!!! Uncle Mark I need to teach you something about our bakiga traditional dress code. How can you mention ekanzu in bakiga and drop ebishato. Ekanzu has never been part of our traditional dress codes. The food staffs are ok but how can you forget ebiribwa. And for milk, in my district Rukungiri, milk is very plenty. Even in kabale, we have many cows only that we do more ranching than private farming. There is surely alot you have forgotten
