I've actually been playing Shujinko with Peacemaker, gets a strike throw mixup off 2/2, and Peacemakers neutral is pretty solid without a Kameo. Very chill podcast, definitely will be listening more!

Hey Shujinkydink, I have started playing li mei/ mavado for a couple weeks now and I can explain how effective the changes are. Also if you want to play li mei I highly suggest using Mavado because he enables her to become a ridiculous character. The lantern change is massive, one of the things that li mei becomes with mavado is in an insane setup character. If a lantern is out on screen li mei has a ton of options with mavado for either pressure, or making one mistake leads to like 35+ percent. This change adds another threat to the latern and allows li mei to pretty easily throw out another lantern. Also yes you can combo after the overhead roll kick with mavado, mid screen it leads to 20%, in the corner it leads to 36+. The changes to overhead roll kick are nice and allow her to throw it out as an option. The change that increases the speed of the back 43, is not terrible, it mainly effects the ability to combo off the low since its faster because the move before is faster. Her back 2 a lot of time is better for punishing simply because its faster. But Li mei had some nice quality of life, the removal of the gap from that one string is nice but not the best they could have made. her best string 12, has a gap if you go into 124 i think needed the removal more which would have made her a good stagger character. but overall the changes are pretty good, li mei is execution heavy but damn she is really worth it. highly suggest if you player her use Mavado and I could give some tips and insight.

Really glad for Li Mei's changes. I really want to see you play her and she kinda fits well with Shujinko from what I've been able to do with her so I can't wait to see what you'll do. I am basically now a Ladies/Shujinko main so any buff to them is great. When I play Kitana I primarily use the square wave as an escape tool if I'm pushed to the corner or if I need to reposition myself so I can zone. Typically used as a combo ender when doing b34 into fan lift. If you meter burn you also do air bf1 and end it that way. She didn't need anything personally but I will not complain. I have also noticed that when I was fighting a Homelander when the next round started he had his fatal blow available right there at full health, Not sure if anyone has encountered this, but this was very strange to see. And omg I've encountered that t-bagging Sub-zero at the end. I hope you put him in his place as Quan Chi or go full Dommy Mommy on him as Sindel, he needs to be taught a lesson.

Was a good listen I also think the patch was good but Homelander is definitely still broken. Making his fly punch actually punishable would probably help. I think the Johnny changes were good as well but I still believe he's top 1 personally. It would be weird for him to not be top tier tho.

Those Havik changes are inconsequential. But I’m used to it😢 Anyway for the next podcast, how about talking about the legacy this game will have after a full year. Was this game worth the wait after MK11?

Ive played Peacemaker throughout all his nerfs. Kasually. And gawd damn he really was alotta fun. But i always said if they changed anything. It should be Forcefield. Even absorbing 2 hits for nothing with no recovery was bs. So im glad it got changed. Plus you still have enhanced forcefield. And that deflects projectiles, beats some armor wake ups. And pushes opponents back when they block. So it can keep you safe sometimes. So im all bout the regular forcefield nerf. Now torpedo though....... Ahhhh. It feels awful. Looks like he's swimming under water. You fly over ppl mashin d1. And now the armor can get broke by certain characters. Its nothing like it was. And eaglys feel like actual projectiles now. Instead of a sidekick. Overall im not a fan of 2 changes. Do i still enjoy him though? Hell yea. 👊 Might be a little different. But i still think he's awesome. Im still gonna play him. 👍
