I found a large bald cypress with a pronounced twist but left it behind thinking it too large. This video takes place the following year when I recruited a friend to help retrieve this beautiful tree. I've named it "Torque".
I have another video in the can where I do heavy wiring on the tree. Subscribe to my channel to be alerted when it goes online.
Thanks to Mitch, without whom I could not have taken this tree. He did most of the still photography you'll see in the video.
Thanks to Michael Ryan Bell (japanesebonsaipots.com) for permission to use the photos taken at the first workshop on Torque. You can see his blog of the event here:

And thanks to The Greater New Orleans Bonsai Society (gnobs.org) for years of expert advice and being a place where enthusiasts can meet once a month to discuss bonsai and catch up with old friends.
DISCLAIMER: This video is for entertainment purposes only. This is not a "How To" video. The two of us have decades of experience in the swamps. Do NOT try this on your own. We know what we're doing and it almost killed one of us taking the tree from the swamp. If this is new to you, learn how to do it from someone else. We take no responsibility for what happens to those of you who use this video as a launching pad for your own misadventures.
