Question: Has there ever been another female eagle that's taken over a nest where there are eagle eggs left/abandoned? That's before the crows take the eggs.

Very interesting - enjoyed Mike Fitz + Dr. Sharpe's comments on the Channel Islands eagles. Have been watching the nest at Big Bear, think one or more may have migrated there from the Channel Islands.

How common is it for an eaglet to single out a sibling and peck it to death over a few days? Recently saw one very brutal killing and was stunned at the level of violence exhibited by such a young eaglet.

Dr. Sharpe answers a question about sibling rivalry around 27:47. It's generally about resources. If they are all getting fed, it is less likely that there will be conflict among the eaglets. We have been lucky enough not to see much sibling rivalry on our cams.
