Lmaooo some people are funny when they just don't understand. This is taking place in Homer Alaska, its main source of income is commercial fishing and tourism charter fishing. The eagles fly in there by the 100's and if they didn't create a safe way to feed them older fish and seafood and fish scraps to please them the eagles go after the fishing boats and fisherman and workers on the docks handling fish and seafood as it comes in. It seems bad to some they toss food to them but also its worse if the eagles start attacking people for it and have to be destroyed for safety reasons.

It is bad to toss food to the eagles or any wild animals....besides, what people dont understand is that humans are usually the invaders not the animals who are living in their own habitat

I love Bald Eagles. They are my favorite animal. They are intelligent, they're powerful, they're beautiful, I mean what can I say? They're beautiful animals, majestic animals. I live in Jacksonville Florida and we have a very high population of them here, (Not like Alaska of course) mainly in our beaches areas. One of the nest at one of our beaches is on the American Eagle foundation nest cam live stream, (The original parents at the nest were named, Romeo and Juliet). But getting back to the point, I thought it was against the law to feed Bald Eagles? Technically, I thought it was a Federal law to feed Bald Eagles period, and can't come within feet of them . But I understand in Alaska there's so many it's kind of hard not to? Is that an illegal feeding area? Or is the law being bent in Alaska?

How can you tell whether one is male or female?
@ploppysonofploppy6066
20 күн бұрын
The only sexual dimorphism in Bald Eagles is that the females are about 1/3 bigger. So, very hard. You'll see some that aren't "bald", they're hatchlings that attain the white plumage after the first moult.
@DESTROY5GTowersNEURALMONITOR

@@ploppysonofploppy6066 is there a way where finding the difference between them is just as easy while being far distant from the eagle?
@ploppysonofploppy6066
19 күн бұрын
@@DESTROY5GTowersNEURALMONITOR I'm afraid not. If a male/female pair are close together, you'll see the female is larger, but even a few metres apart it gets difficult.

Seeing this makes it hard to believe they are endangered. There are so many in one place. Kind of ironic how majestic birds such as these can flock together and stealing food and being pest like pigeons or seagulls.
