Does this sound more melodic then their previous stuff?

There’s lots of melodic stuff, even from their very first EP!

The LCD bit is in the chorus. They’re really good pals and did some tour/festival thing together. If memory serves Adam Devonshire the bass player had to stand in for LCDs bass player and he was so happy.

It's definitely get more groove, which I think is the influence of the producers (Kenny Beats and Nigel Godrich) and James Murphy & Nancy Wang from LCD Soundsystem as collaborators. The clarity of the production has got Godrich's fingerprints all over it too.

I've known about Idles for a few years but never really got drawn to them. This song changes everything however, absolutely love everything about it how it sounds and the aesthetics of the video. I feel like I am one of the people in the video dancing along

This is such a weird song and I am so obsessed with it and with the band. some of it I love , not all, but I'm 71 years old.The bass player pulls some stuff that is just so original and hook-y.

That bass tone is immense. I saw them on kimmel and they didn’t get it right in the mix. But they aren’t a talk show band. I gave the whole album a listen yesterday. Not what I expected. Very ambient. I’m gonna listen thoroughly and review it at length on the channel. Thanks for stopping by! Take care!

The video is a pastiche homage to videos for Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and all of those late-70s disco track videos.

@@mozzerianmisanthrope406 BB is off Crawler, which is a bit more multi-dimensional than say Ultra Mono. They all have much to offer but why not start at Brutalism and head forward from there? No need to be chronological though, any more than Pablo Honey is a must first listen for Radiohead addicts...

@@mozzerianmisanthrope406joy is an act of resistance and ultra mono. Brutalism - their first once is raw and punky, idles start changing with crawler. More produced but I like that album. I think the new album is lame besides three songs gift horse , pop (3x)
