I know this is far from a popular opinion, but Act 2 is my favorite of the game. The dark, almost claustrophobic setting almost forces characters to look inwards and ask who they really are. Astarion realizes for the first time that he's his own person, and more than competent fighters, he wants to surround himself with people who respect him. Karlach finds out that her engine will kill her, but that makes her even more determined to live her new found life while she can. Gale finally admits that he does want to live. It's your fault and he'd resent you for it if he weren't so grateful. And of course there's this scene with Shadowheart. And for all this darkness, you are awarded with the most powerful payoff in the game. Proof that you can bring real change to a world even when every odd is stacked against you. I mean, we all shared this moment. We know how powerful it was to see a light in the darkness we had been trudging through for 20+ hours.

After wandering around in the shadows, witnessing evils, pain and suffering in act 1 and especially act 2, it was amazing to finally see divine good manifest and light it's way through all the misery and sorrow.

SO TRUE! Nightsong's unwavering championship of goodness and bravery is so refreshing to consume, as most stories that are portrayed in media nowadays are bleak and focus on how evil is never faced head on.

My favorite moments in the game are ones like this. Spoiler warning Moments where the character sees the truth and chooses to abandon the only thing they knew their whole life to stay on the right path. ShadowHeart's and Le zael's moments of defiance against their "Gods" are definitely the most impactful scenes for me.

I genuinely can't get over this. There's so many VAs that have barely voiced more than side characters so far in their careers and have absolutely *killed* it in this game. Add onto that the theatre-esque writing and presentation and it's just a joy to experience. Colorfully written lines and grandiose personalities and immaculate voiced lines. Every character is such a joy to encounter.

That's just pure DND. You truly don't control your party members actions. Every character is their own. Thus why BG3 is amazing.

she's a half daughter of a greater deity, she's basically a demigod herself, in fact it's the entire reason she was imprisoned in the Shadowfell; she was immortal and Ketheric Thorm had a Necromancer that knew how to siphon that for him

I really like the part at 7:22 I haven't played the previous games, so I was not familiar with Jaheria before playing. But the way the framing of the shot and music come together really sell that kind of "An old hero has been reinvigorated" kind of feeling.

This scene feels a bit weird when you don’t say anything to her the entire time.
