Back when i worked for Diamond in the ealy 1990's the retailers coventions were SUPER fancy, ice sculptures 😂 Stan Lee, Frank Miller, Neil Gaimen, celebrities. It was nuts. The industry was flush with new cash, the Baltimore and Georgia ones were a party. It was almost like SDCC is now.(or..was pre covid)

I was hoping to make it to Baltimore Comic Con this year, but our budget is a bit tight right now. I hope to participate in things like the retailer summit someday in the future - but I saw Diamond cancelled the event this year to avoid a conflict with ComicsPro. I hope that's not a permanent thing! I'm always happy when I see a new video from you, hope all is well!

I think I was 4 years or 5 years into the business before I made my first retailer summit. I think I made one other event from DC before that. Smart not to keep up with the Joneses do what you can do. Number one is building that business. You look like you're well on the way.

@@HavenForHeroes Thanks man, that's good to know. I'm notorious for getting in my own head. Thats when I start questioning if I'm doing things fast enough 🤣I am really happy with where I'm at after one year. My mantra has been "head down, do the work". Always appreciate your willingness to share your experience. Looking forward to your next video!
