The printer was a bit complicated to hook up kzitem.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.

Only had my P1P since yesterday and already it is the best thing since sliced bread in my opinion, after the Ender 3 S1 Pro with Sonic Pad, the P1P is a dream to use and operate, no more manually bed levelling, which was the biggest turn off for me with 3D Printers, but thankfully the P1P managed to keep me wanting more, great video thanks for sharing

I normally don't follow any KZitemrs at all, but, here, I have to go and make an exception. I am now subscribed! Furthermore, I have been in doubt, of what model I should buy. The answer is so clear for me now, Bambu Lab P1S is the answer. Only thing I need to figure out, is this: Can we change the low grade included 720p cam, to a 1080p? I can see it got a nice flat cable, so I wonder if I just could use my Raspberry Pi 2mb camera instead? I am really looking forward to your net video! Mostly it can save a bit time or save some "work"😊 But each PA-test will take like... 5-7 minutes which you have to do one each roll maximum :) For me (subjective take)....i rly dont miss it, esp for the price :) Plus its weight at the toolhead haha🤣

This is probably the best review of the P1P I have seen. It certainly tends to sway me away from the X1C. Although I'm still using a Ender 3 S1 Pro I picked up for $270, the amazing speed of the Bamboo series is compelling. For all the waste the AMS produces and for the extra time needed, theese would be partialy avoidable with some some design changes: a) if you unload filament, the tip of the filament was already molten. Therefore it can be problematic to reload it, as the filament tip is out of shape. There are two solutions: With a special ramping profile and heatbreak/nozzle combination the filament tip is "reformed". Actually this works best with a nozzle with normal sized meltzone (like e3d v6) and a special heatbreak (the Prusa mk3 has a special internal design to form the tip on unloading for the MMU2). The standard Revo even works better. Also it depends on the material; PLA works best (PETG has more stinging). This solution (for different colours, but same material) only needs to wipe out some residue from the previous filament inside the nozzle - and there are modes like wipe2infill or wipe2wasteobject to actually use the material instead deposing it. This way isn't the most beginner friendly, but the least wastefull on multicolour PLA prints. The other approch is to cut the filament between the feeder and the heatbreak on unload. This way the filament tip is perfect every time. Filamentchange does not need finetuning profiles for diferent materials/brands/temperatures - it simply works. However the downside of this beginner-friendly solution is the need to purge the remaining old filament inside the heatbreak and the nozzle. Wich is a lot of waste, so a simple whipe tower isn't enough - a poo-ejection is needed. But there is no problem with PET-G or different materials in general. Obviously you can see this is bambulabs approch. But: In my opinion Bambulabs should release a "normal flow" hotend for multicolour (not multimaterial!) prints, with integrated heatbreak (like the Revo or the Trianglelabs CHC) to alternativly use the older method. Even with lower printing speed (due to lower volumetric flow with a smaler meltzone) the filament change would be a lot faster and waste would decrease (esp. with wipe to infill or wipe2waseobject). While this is definitly for more advanced users (and please dry your filament before), in my opinion this wouldn't have a downside (as you can always swich back to poo-mode) and could save a lot of filament. Actually it wouldn't cost a lot - just a hotend for this mode (you could use third party parts to make it yourself) and some firmware changes (I do not like closed source...). Still, the cutting-method would still be usefull if printing easy to remove support (the PLA/PET-G-trick f.e.) or printing with higher temeratures (I print silk PLA often with higher temperatur to get a bit more layer adheason, bit it also stings a lot on unload). But normaly you have much less material changes if you use the AMS only for this instead doing a full colour print. I would realy like bambulab combining theese two methods and let the user decide. b) The filament-hub inside the AMS ín my opinion is placed wrong. It should be placed directly before the bowden goes inside the printer. Shortest way for the shared tube. As soon the unloaded filament has left the hub, the next can be loaded. The momentarly not used filament always waiting directly in front of the hub, ready to go.

Hey Dennis! Thanks a lot! First layer issues arent a thing with the P1P either :) To be honest you dont rly use the screen, at least i only do for stopping a print if something goes wrong and i dont have the time to use my app or laptop :) But everyone is different :) The costs are EU based €801 for the printer and roundabout €215 for the Upgrades. So considering the X1C is at 1349 you just need €100 and can already get the AMS in that price :) Thanks a lot!😊

Thanks for the video. I learned a lot on how to customize it. I don't think i can realize the parts on the nozzle. It seems tedious.

I have 2 questions, i want to build exactly that enclosure for my P1P with the X1C door, does it can run very hot inside? Im going to print only with PLA and PETG, and the other, do you put the fan to the motherboard? Or is not neccessary for your enclosure?
@tombeardy4833

Sure it "can" if you would always print with 100 degrees on the buildplate but even then - since i used the opened glasscover raiser and also didnt built in any "rear"- plate there is enough ventilation to keep the temp way lower compared to an absolute closed buildvolume. No not yet. I might will, just for fun but this would mostly be necessary if you cover the rear section of the printer as well since there are some vent-holes for the board :) But since, esp pla - and maybe if you also use the Cool-Plate you wont get any craty temps anyway 😊

Thanks for all the effort you put into this video. Since I have no printer yet, the P1P is on the top of my my list. Only the print size is holding me back at the moment. Your video helped a lot! Now I have to see what the "up to date" status is, since ordering a lot of extra from the beginning makes sense to me. As long as they are not already included now :D Have a nice day!

@@tombeardy4833 Thanks for pointing out the P1S. Any glitch on a release date or further intel you could share? = Worth the wait? So far I didn't find further detail about it. Maybe some clickbait who has already a model for review, but can't share details yet... I will also search for a personal contact, since I've seen you also do all this in my mother thoung german :D Enjoy the heat!
