I have only just discovered banana blossom, so was looking for recipes. Your description and guidance of how to cook them is excellent. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge. Best wishes, Karen

You could have banana fritter for dessert. This would work well with lotus root (Renkon), too.

Thanks for your compliments, You can skip adding egg yolk. Both Crispy flour and rice flour are just fine and will still make the tempura crispy.

Oh? I didn’t know you could eat the white inner flower core too? I saw on KZitem where they were showing how to prepare , clean the banana flower. But they just showed using and cleaning the white/ yellow stems that are attached to the red leaves. I made a Thai soup using the stems, but threw the rest of the flower away. Next time I know to use the white part too. Thanks

It’s crispy, buttery, delicious and will simply melt in your mouth. There is no bitter taste at all. Please follow my recipe, try it out and let me know your thoughts 😊
