This is my second video on IELTS daily, the first was the mock session with Saskia. I loved Saskia's worldly vocabulary and how she handled herself. I couldn't find any kind of hesitation or pauses in that session while this session was more natural. Thalia is really fluent in the language and I could really relate to the way she's speaking. The natural hesitation when you're put in an anxious situation!

Hi everyone, just finished my exam today (general training). A few tips: 1. Be quick on your feet on the listening exam. The speakers in the recording spoke much faster than the practice audio I had so I missed some details and ended up guessing. 2. Make use of the highlight option for computer exam for easier reference and review. 3. Speaking test: -Part 1: barbecue -Part 2: about someone older whom I admire -Part 3: old people (IKR) Thanks for the guides and tips in this channel! And good luck to all!

My guess is she learned English mostly through conversation with international people and media contents. She uses contractions as "gonna" and often repeats words like "you know" and "I mean". Kind of the easy way of speaking of young people. While Saskia for example speaks more standard English and you can hear she learned it mostly through education. At least I guess so.

The most important for me when Taking IELTS speaking exams was to enjoy and express yourself. Do not pressure yourself and try to be calm as much as possible. Besides, treat it just like a normal conversation with a neighbor or friends. Since, some of the questions are common and sometimes we also put it in a conversation or we used to talk it rather. Like for example, What do you do for your free time ? Do you have a big family ?. It is just normal questions❤️. It would be better if we have a peace of mind during the exam and I do believe things will follow. Everything would not lead to futility.

Don't just think about what u will say when u practice. Rather say it out loud in front of a mirror or a recorder. Ur mind may think you u can pronounce what u think but when u talk it out loud it will become a mess.

Actually, in real life I dont think the real examiner will behave soo nice as she does in this vid. She(the mock examiner) is so friendly and amiable. She even smiles.

Hey, I think that with the help of the right tools we can achieve it also- recently I discovered Macmillan Dictionary, give it a try also, they really go in depth explaining every possible usage of the word in context plus the collocations related to it, so much needed for fluency.. I love it and I hope you will too.

@@dcns849 yes, there are tons of resources, but the biggest challenge lies on the fact that we just can't find a native speaker to practice speaking unless we study/work abroad to actually use it in real situations.

I liked that combination of words she used like cool breeze, serene environment etc but yes fluency was a bit fluctuating for her. Eventually, she nailed it because it came so naturally
