I hadn't seen this video when it came out, I just saw it now and I was also very emotional seeing how it impacted you. I met BAND-MAID 3 years ago and my love grew by watching both your videos and other people's. I thought it was amazing when you created Gaijin Guys, because I already liked the videos of reactions that you made separately and seeing the four of you together was a really cool thing. I'm from Brazil and I might never get to see one of their shows, even though they're my favorite band. But watching you talk about it, going to the shows, being moved by all of this, makes my heart warm a lot. This fan community is incredible and seeing how songs impact people in such unique ways is something very special. The best band with the best fans for sure. Hugs and lots of love from Brazil to all of you who share the same love I do for this amazing band

Like “Are there really our masters and princesses (fans) in the US?” Then I actually went there and got a sense of relief like “Ah, I’m relieved, they are really there!” (laughs) I kind of got a lot of inspirations throughout the tour." They say you can't judge a book by it's cover, and band Maid is a perfect example of this. So many people dismiss this band immediately because of their aesthetic. They think they are just a "gimmick" or a "girl band", and man are they missing out on something special. Band Maid is a once in a lifetime band. And I'm not talking as a Rock, metal, progressive, J-rock, or pop-punk band, just as a BAND regardless of genre. These 5 musicians are capable of doing anything they want, and always seem to do it to perfection. How many bands in your lifetime have you know of that could do that? Moreover, how many have been brave enough to actually do it? On top of all of this when the 5 are together performing on stage they have a "synergy* or "IT" factor that simply can't be explained. Band Maid simply checks off every box there is from musicianship to grounded humility and everything in between. They are just SPECIAL!! Fifty years ago people scoffed and dismissed me because I was a RUSH fan, yet today their music is more appreciated that ever by those same people. So for those today who scoff and dismiss me when I tell them Band Maid is one of the best bands ever...well fifty years from now I will be smiling down on you from the "After life". 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂🕊

I feel you, Ryan. They have broadened my view and love of music as well. I saw them at Aftershock (met Alan, that was cool), and Phoenix, where I live. Phoenix was the smallest venue on the tour. I was watching and actually concerned that the crowd wasn't giving them their due. They seemed happy, Mincho smiles while shredding, Misa toasting the crowd, Misa giving Akane a piggyback while she did the "Mol moi kyun kyun" shtick. But still, while pouring out their art over 500 people in a concrete box, I wondered what they really thought. Now I know.

When the plague was at its height, 'About Us' helped me release a lot of emotions that I'd had to keep to myself. I sobbed and felt unburdened and relieved and. most of all, I regained my hope for better times. Although times are now a lot better (seeing friends and family again, for example) this MV, with Kanami's thoughts turned into lyrics, moved me within 15 seconds of it beginning, though in a happy way. They write songs that get all of the Madiacs ( especially) The Masters ugly crying. I sure did especially when she sang "You wove me".🥲 I have been a huge fan of multiple bands, in numerous genres, but I have never fallen this hard for any other band. Maybe it's because, they are close to my daughter's age, and especially my niece that I raised who passed away 5 years ago. I guess that I feel protective of them. Also because I love multiple genres of music, it seems like their music contains all of the genres that I love the most in their music. Ok, I need to gush some more. Unlike many other bands they actually act like they really like each and really enjoy playing with each other. I have always loved the official live video of freedom when Miku and Kanami are pumping their fists, clapping, and cheering for Akane during her drum solo. I have never seen another drummer move people to tears because of the amazing joy that Akane expresses during her solo. These ladies are my favorite superheroes. Maybe, no any song writer in Japan can create lyrics of MIKU type expression which includes messages to whole world. And the KANAMI's sense of guitar play is outstanding in this song's opening acoustic guitar part, nostalgic style anyhow, and very catchy with MOIKU's lyrics. SAIKI, AKANE and MISA are excellent.

Very few bands have done something like this once. How many bands have done this for their fans TWO TIMES? This is what I wrote on your Discord: It still amazes me how humble they all are and that they are (or at least act 😀 ) surprised at how much we value them. I think this last tour really surprised them on many fronts. How quickly the shows sold out, the crowd response, and all the little things we did at shows... and all the BIG things we did at shows like b-day cakes, towels, shirts, etc.. I'm sure they saw much of the various fan swag on Twitter since I know they all follow the band-maid hashtag. The fact the lyrics were written by both Miku and Saiki speaks to how much we moved them... watching them sing during the TGT portions of the video you can see it clearly on Saiki's face and the few glimpses of Akane she looks like she did in about Us from Online Okyuji. And yeah, MISA's bass sounds incredibly soulful in the song. The sound of her moving on the strings is gloriously soothing.

Totally agree with everything you said. Miku's acoustic guitar combined with Kanam's electric guitar, work so well together. Have they done that before in a ballad? So glad they left in the squeaks of Miku's fingers on the strings, and not engineer it out of the mix. And that's the slowest I think I've ever heard Akane play the drums.

Would have earlier. Couldn’t. You get it. Still have it on repeat. Got my Atlanta tickets. Time to cry more.

Beautiful! Absolutely love your reaction my friend. I think many people share the same sentiments as you do. These phenomenal ladies came in to my life exactly when I needed them too... and for this I am eternally grateful. Again, thank you for reaction and for not being afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve. ❤️

Because of the goddamn Covid, I found this wonderful band in 2021! I almost listen to them everyday. Should I appreciate the Covid? 😢

Words like BEST or GREATEST seem hollow. Is your closest friend the BEST friend on earth? Who is the GREATEST composer ~ Mozart or Bach or Charlie Parker? As you put it so eloquently RM certain bands touch our soul. I wept when I stood before Starry Night at MOMA. There was more there than just paint and canvas. It was numinous. I have never had a rock band grab me by the ears and slap me around like BandMaid. I never had a song of love and appreciation sung to me as a listener. Not your average band in any sense of the word. Numinous.
