When saiki the lead singer meets up with the bassist on stage neither is wearing shoes. Misa never wears shoes thus the name "the barefoot assassin". The myth which I believed was that the song before she lost her shoe crowd surfing. Apparently she took off her heals to go out into the crowd. She puts them back on during the solo by kanami. But they were just having a ball on stage

It's the sign of a great band when people get inspired to pick up an instrument or start singing, I'm too old for that, I'll just stick to the Ukulele. I don't know why, but Band Maid inspired me in another way and that was to revisit bands that I saw and listened to in the late 60's and early 70's that I haven't listened to for probably 40 years and I'm glad I did. The passage of time just simply made me forget that there were so many great bands back in the day and they are now back in my life. Good luck with the Bass.

There are many unique aspects to Real Existence that sets it apart from many rock songs: the starts and stops, Miku's little breakout vocal line, Akane's double tempo gallop, and Kamani's solo. I mean, who would ever put that kind of solo in a rock song? But it works... just like all of the plot-twists, complex density, and genre-merging they employ on most of their material. Thx, J-Slap!

I love the way they make you smile as soon as they start playing and you keep smiling til the end. They have that effect on me too. But then they are THE best Rock band in the galaxy. And even better live. Have to recommend FREEDOM from the same gig as your Domination and Play reactions, as you'll get to see the world's happiest drummer banging out a superb solo kzitem.info/news/bejne/p36m23mnhnOUd5w .

I can't believe it!! You did not explain the reason why Saiki was on bare foot like Misa in the first part of this performance and how Saiki got her shoes back afterwards. Band Maid = best antidote to a blue mood going. I live in Oz so I've been devouring footage of BM from the recent US tour and how they have become even more epic is mind boggling. This band musically forearm smashes like a seasoned cage fighter and at the same time melts your heart, un farking believable. Loved the smile BM put on your face, Viva the Maids peace and love Po 👍🎼🥁🎤🎸🍻

Play was the first song I heard (the Line Cube Shibuya concert) and I was instantly hooked. They are 5 incredibly talented and strong women. Kanami (lead guitar) is a genius and she also has almost 2 personalities. When she is on stage playing she exudes confidence and is a warrior. If you’ve seen any interviews with her or the band she is quiet, soft spoken and seems introverted.

They were the opening act for Gun N Roses at Saitama Super Arena about two weeks ago, and they closed their set with this one*. It's impressive they chose a song they didn't write (Miwa Sasaki and Koji Goto wrote it), on their second mini-album (for an indie label, Gump Records), and their second music video (on KZitem, at least, in 2015). Even their beginning efforts had real quality. This video is from a concert a few years later (2018) at Zepp Tokyo. *The song just before this one was "Daydreaming". You should watch the Daydreaming MV next.

I hope you can find a bass soon. If you don't want to spend too much money, check the pawn shops, yard/garage/estate sales, and/or web sites like reverb. Whatever you get, you should try to find a good luthier (someone who repairs and maintains guitars, and chose someone who knows bass guitars) and have them check it out and set it up for you - they will adjust the up-bow of the neck, the string height, the intonation, and the pickups. An instrument that isn't set up well can be frustrating to play, and learning a new instrument is frustrating enough on it's own. I've heard it said "Oh, women can't play bass, the scale's too long" - except Tina Weymouth, Kim Gordon, Kim Deal, Paz Lenchantin, Melissa Auf der Maur, Tal Wilkenfeld ... I can go on (Carole Kaye back in the '60s, Esperanza Spalding over in Jazz). In Japan currently you have F Chopper Koga of Gacharic Spin and Haraguchi-san of Nemophila, and MISA from Band-Maid, of course. Anyone can play bass if they put their mind to it. It's a fantastic instrument that has a fundamental role in rock and metal; every good band has good bass and drums.
