We are a passionate fan base, but the music is what draws us in. When you know they can play any genre, and their music is so complex, it amazes you. Then, when you learn about each member and how humble and dedicated they are, you are emotionally hooked. You are a Madiac at that point!

This band has flown under the radar for TEN YEARS. "Thrill" Band-Maid's first MV - the video that saved them from extinction. "From Now On" and "Onset" incredible instrumentals. "Puzzle" live from Tokyo Garden Theater "Dice / Hate?" live at Lollapalooza 2023 - the Bass- Guitar duel is EPIC! "Daydreaming", "About Us", "Wonderland", "Cross", "Moratorium", "Rinne". Any live performance. This band doesn't write bad songs. Band-Maid recently released the "Tenth Anniversary Best" Volumes One & Two: 30 songs on two discs. Maidiacs read the track listings and started suggestion lists for volumes Three and Four. That's how deep Band-maid's catalog is.

Nice to see a new fan. It does always seem like musicians enjoy them the most. Their songwriting is dense with little details and cool decisions. Worth repeat listens to isolate what each member is doing. On this track specifically, it’s a fun exercise to just count the number of drum fills Akane does. It’s insane. Misa is an exceptional bassist for sure. She’ll attach and detach from the other members, supporting the lead guitar, then a few notes of the vocals, then do her own thing, in rapid succession. Always just the right thing, always in service of the song and not ego. As you listen to them more, this will become more apparent, that they’re all like that. They have exceptional chemistry. If you liked this one, you’ll probably enjoy their MV for Warning. But their sound is all over the place, so feel free to keep exploring. They’ve been around for 10 years, and are so hard working. What I’d really recommend is seeing them in front of an actual audience. Domination, Freedom (has a big drum solo), Play, and Onset (instrumental) all have great official live videos.

Nice reaction...subbed for someone who appreciates what MISA and Akane are throwing down. Always fun to see someone discover the Maids for the first time! I won't repeat what many others have said, instead I will just offer this: I'm an old guy who has never been outside of N America, who discovered the Japanese - predominantly female - rock/metal scene in 2020. Since then I have seen Band-Maid (3 times) and Nemophila live, spent a ridiculous amount of money on CDs, Blu-rays, online streams, fan clubs and merch, met a fantastic online community of fans, some of whom I now call friends, and listen to 90% Japanese music. This is your final warning...turn back now or your life will never be the same! :) P.S. whether you react to it or not, you owe it to yourself at some point to watch their whole 2023 Lollapalooza set before it leaves YT (its a rip of the Hulu livestream): kzitem.info/news/bejne/pJVm2IGhjmWVhZg And there is also this high quality fancam of the same set that shows more of the audience reaction - most of whom were unfamiliar with the band kzitem.info/news/bejne/znh7mpyqrISpY6Q Band-Maid set starts at 2m15s

I would like to see you rock out to Rinne (Reincarnation). The official video is filmed like it is with an early smartphone, but it is one of their heaviest songs in my opinion. Killer double kick bass drum. No God is also pretty heavy with killer double bass. The live video from two years ago is my favorite but they posted a newer live version that is also good. Have fun with it.

Shockingly to me, this is one of their songs I won't remember. It sounds (to me) like a mistep and doesn't show how melodic they can be even on harsh songs. Still I'm glad you liked it, cause the best is yet to come.

If it hasn’t been recommended yet, I believe “From Now On,” official music video will be right up your musical alley Band Maid 🤘🏽 🔥 Really great bassist insights in this one. You started guitar and moved to bass; I went the other way around. It’s been a long time since a bassist has caught my attention. You’ll enjoy MISA. She’s actually the very first bassist I’ve seen (playing since 1979) who uses the pick-tuck technique to facilitate slapping. She’s inspirational.

BAND-MAID is a big rabbit hole in itself. But the bigger rabbit hole is the Japanese Rock & Metal scene. Let me throw in some names: Lovebites, Gacharic Spin, Unlucky Morpheus, Nemophila, Wagakki Band, Galneryus, Ningen Isu. Each band has their own unique style, but all have one thing in common: outstanding musicians, that are masters of their trade.

Nice! The Maids are at the very top of my personal favorite bands list. Not favorite all female bands. Not favorite Japanese bands. But favorite bands...of all time. Best, most complete band I've experienced. They are a PHENOMENON. There's a ton of great suggestions already for the next Band-Maid reaction and I agree...with ALL of them. Band-Maid is THAT good. With that said, I'll second the suggestion for the band Sokoninaru, "Tenohira De Odoru" (link was posted by Greg previously). Another band I'll suggest is Asterism and their song "Rising Moon". kzitem.info/news/bejne/qpyus51me6plq2U 🕊
