Sunrise’s team-up with Bandai for Mobile Suit Gundam was a runaway hit, and soon the two companies started scrambling for a follow-up, leading to six major works from their collaboration throughout the 80’s - Combat Mecha Xabungle, Aura Battler Dunbine, Round Vernier Vifam, Heavy Metal L-Gaim, Blue Comet SPT Layzner, and Metal Armor Dragonar.
Not only did the decade establish Real Robots as a concrete genre, but Bandai also introduced innovations in robot model kits with each new product line.
So come see how each series left their mark on every modern Bandai kit you buy today, and relive the era with a look back together at all six animation works and their model products!
