I mainly listen to music on vinyl and that format makes it so you kinda need to listen to the full album or atleast one of the sides all the way through, so my Ulcerate records, even though I love them to absolute death, it can be almost kinda daring to put on one of their albums. AC/DC have had two singers on their studio albums, Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. You did an impersonation of Brian Johnson (Back in Black). I am not a huge fan of Brian's voice and I much prefer the Bon Scott era/1970s AC/DC, so if it's just about that then I agree with you. I do like Bon Scott's vocals though- or are they both similar to you and other people?

Gojira. It's a push-and-pull of songs I like and songs I don't like, all within the same album, so I skip around a lot. They're good every once in a while, but they get old quick. Coheed and Cambria. I like some songs, but the full albums can't keep my interest. Orbit Culture. Groove metal isn't my thing, and melodeath is hit or miss, but I love their blackened symphonic elements. The Shadowing is the only song I truly love, but they have some other decent songs like Behold and From the Inside I don't mind listening to, but a lot of the groovier stuff, like Vultures of North, does nothing for me.

There are many for me... Queen, Rihanna, Beyonce, System of a Down, Korn, Soundgarden, Rage Against The Machine, The Police, the list goes on. I enjoy radio hits from all of these groups. However, I cannot sit through full albums, i get bored very quick. Just repetition of the same thing over and over becomes mindnumbing, it just becomes background noise eventually.

Back in Black is excellent and I can listen all through but some of their other albums the quality lets them down. Slipknot for me, like the singles and some others but no all of any album. Testament Formation of Damnation. People go mad for this but for me I like More Than Meets the Eye but then nothing else, and I love Testament. Morbid Angel - this is slightly different, I can listen to Altars of Madness, brilliant, but their other albums aren't for me. People won't like this but Bolt Thrower. Some bits are good but the riffs get a bit boring after a bit. A bit too simple and the riff goes on for ages, sometimes I can't make it through a song.

Hard disagree on Rush and AC/DC. It's almost essential to listen to a Rush album all the way through to get the best experience. AC/DC, at least with their very best albums (Highway to Hell, Back in Black, etc.), are easy listens all the way through due to the sequencing and production. A band that's hard for me to listen to all way through is Deafheaven. Even with their really good albums like Sunbather, the music and the vocals just wear me out. Same with The Mars Volta.

I'm from the mixtape era and seldom listen to a full album by one metal band all at once. But a partial list of partial albums would include Once Was Not - the last four songs. It would be an impressive accomplishment except that all of the only good Cryptopsy songs are on that album. Sacrament - if they stopped at track seven. Again, the only LOG that anyone needs. Grand Declaration - enough said. And shout out to Envenomed by the always competent and workmanlike Malevolent. It's three songs too long to be a perfect DM album. Very common phenomenon, Pierced From Within is about four songs too long to qualify.

I Have no problem listening to the AC/DC Bon Scott era full albums but from Back In Black and onwards a couple of songs is fine. Well I'm going to explain to you why it's my favorite style of death metal, you dont have to agree of course, just saying where I come from. I'm a fan of metalcore first and foremost, it's always been my favorite style of metal. When I listened to these modern tech death bands it had a modern production akin to these melodic metalcore bands, be it Trivium, or Killswitch Engage. I enjoy the clinical nature of the music, and just really clicks me. I can, of course, see your side of it, however. Overproduction is very much a thing that happens in modern death metal, just not a thing that irks me much.
