Good call getting the drone up outside the park boundary :-) We arrived at Lake Louise by 9:30 am (in June) and had several parking options in the RV lot. It was packed when we left around 10:30. There are two Tunnel Mountain Campgrounds (Village and Trailer Court) and I believe you were at the Trailer Court facility. They remodeled it in 2017 and they literally opened it up to the public the day we checked in. They were still finishing up paving some of the roads so the place had quite an obnoxious odor to deal with. We weren't the least bit impressed with the facility lay out .... one of the funkiest we'd ever stayed in :-) Happy Anniversary ! BTW .... the commenter scroll is going by way to quickly to be practical, may be time to rethink that idea.

Hey there! Yeah the park boundary was super close down that one road so it was worth the detour to get the drone out again at least! The campground layout is a little different there, but we don't mind it as long as we book an end side where you don't have anyone beside you one way at least. If we were in the middle of all the rows surrounded it definitely wouldn't have been as fun for sure. Love that they have transit for free to downtown at least then just $2 back up! Cheers and thanks for watching 😁🍁

My wife and I were just at Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court a few days ago and it was nice. At least there our spot was just off the campground roads on the shoulder in a pull out area with full hookups and sani-dump. We are from Ontario and are camping our way west to Squamish BC.

I’m going to miss you guys, but you sure have your Priorities in the right order, happy anniversary, it’s our anniversary today and we are having the flooring replaced in the motorhome so no travels for us until next season. As for the price of gas, I think Newfoundland prices are often higher than the ones you just quoted, you just have to be a little more conscientious and take advantage when there’s a little downward trend in gas prices.

Hi Guys, love watching your adventures. Have a Happy Anniversary. Did I hear correct that you have to turn your generator on for heat? Do you not have 3 way? Gasped when I thought Alysha was putting tinfoil in microwave! I presume that is a convection oven? My 2017 adventurer has 3 burner stove with oven. To bad you have to cut your adventures short due to work, but cruising around Salmon Arm will be a treat. I am in Abby/Langley area and I am going to see how long I can stay in RV during winter. Happy Travels, Stay Safe and Healthy. :)

Hi there! We don't need the gene normally nope battery was just below 12 so didn't want to risk running it over night and getting too low. Also yes indeed it is a convection oven as well, otherwise that would've been a big oopsie hey! Thanks for watching 🙂🍁

Another beautiful video! I love the perspective the drone footage gives of the area. I noticed signs in English and a French. Are schools bilingual in Canada? It’s hard to believe summer is coming to an end here in a few weeks.
@LukeandAlysha
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Lori! In elementary we have a little bit of french (Speaking for in BC at least). I think here it's more just because it's a National Park area so they have it everywhere, and the parks employees greet you in both just in case. Sure has been cooking down now hey. We got a bit of rain recently that helped clear up the smoke at least and the air quality. Can only imagine how smokey it has been for you all! Take care 😁🍁
@LoriG75

Luke and Alysha That is interesting about the French. That makes sense with such a huge part of the population speaking French. We just got rid of all the smoke a few days ago. It was a miserable few weeks. We had ash coating everything and it made it hard to breathe. So thankful for the cooler temps, marine push, and rain showers. Happy Fall and Happy camping 😊

Thank you! We do have it and probably should've been using it more. We used it a lot last year across Canada since traveling through so many areas and province boundaries that it made a huge difference. Just didn't bother as much this year as everywhere was relatively the same on the Island and then wherever we've been traveling slower. Cheers!🙂🍁

Thanks Frank! Indeed back to work sadly. As for Banff I would say the shoulder seasons would be ideal, either a little before schools get out or once they're back in. Happy Anniversary! I noticed in your opening scenes what appeared to be the Athabasca Glacier. I was shocked! I first visited that area in 1982. They actually took you out on the glacier in a specially modified bus. It was very interesting. But the shocking part is seeing in your video how much the glacier has receded in the nearly 40 years since I was there! It is very dramatic, to say the least. For all those global warming deniers, they need to come here.
