If you have time, maybe talk about the other unusual remotes from the ‘90’s- the 5000 and 7000 remotes. I have a Beosystem 2500 and own both 1000 and 5000 remotes. @@soundsheavenly I always wanted a 7000 remote, but I wasn't sure of compatibility with the 2500 system. I only realized the 2500 had 2 way communication capability when on one dark evening I noticed the 2500 system IR window flashing back an almost imperceptible signal, and suspected the 5000 would work with it. My local dealer in Phoenix, Arizona wasn't sure the 5000 would be compatible, but I special ordered it anyways, and was not disappointed. It was about $500 at the time (mid 1990's). My original 1000 failed a few years ago and I ended up replacing it with the "menu" button variant. Also- I love your Beolab 3000 speakers! Hi, thanks for your purchase, sorry to hear that you are having problems. Please can you check that the Beolab 3500 has the long Masterlink plug removed from the socket in the back before you connect the other input cable. If that doesn't solve the problem, please drop me an email using the contact page at soundsheavenly.com and I can help you to get everything working.

How does one bring up the service menu (for an MX5500) with a beoLink 1000? Usually its Menu 1,1, OK? But there is no ok.

Please press PLAY instead of GO on a Beolink 1000. For older Beolink 1000 remotes that don't have a MENU button, please press SHIFT then TEXT instead of MENU.

There were some great one-off and special order remotes based on the Beolink 1000. These were often for in-store demonstration or for special setups such as hotel and exhibition use. I would be very interested to see a photo of your remote if you would be willing to share it via email please? You can reach me via my website at soundsheavenly.com

Is there any pairing procedure with the beolink 1000? I want to use it with a Beosound Century system. They design all these products to amazing detail yet make it complicated to use and pair. A remote should be just point and click rather than using combination buttons to register in the system
@soundsheavenly
3 жыл бұрын
Hi, there is no pairing procedure, it is simply point and click. If that doesn't work then either the remote or the Century is faulty. I suggest trying new batteries, check with another remote and if that doesn't work ask your local B&O store if they can suggest a good repair agent to check the system for you.

Hello Steve, I've got a MX7000 tv with SW 2.0. Is there a possibility to upgrade this to SW 4.7? Kind regards, Retro
@soundsheavenly
4 жыл бұрын
Hi, you would need to take this tv to a B&O repair agent to get the software updated, this may be costly and of limited benefit. It may be cheaper to find another MX tv with the newer software installed if you really need the upgrade?

@@soundsheavenly Steve, thank you so much for your answer. The MX7000 with SW 2.0 is for sale. It would make the sale easier with a higher version. Knowing there's no 'easy' or cheap way of upgrading, helps alot. Kind regards, Retro

Do you know how to connect my phone or Laptop via 3,5mm Aux with my BeoSystem 2500?
@soundsheavenly
3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I can help! This cable will allow you to connect an iPod, phone or laptop to the Aux socket on the back of your B&O system:- soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/67-298-minijack-to-aux-in-ipod-to-beosound-beomaster-beocenter-using-aux-din-socket.html#/2-length-1m Please set the phone or laptop volume to maximum when connecting to the B&O system - this is normal when using a portable music player with a home audio system due to the low output levels produced by these devices. To listen to the phone or laptop, simply press "A.Aux" on the B&O keypad, or select this on the B&O remote control by pressing the "LIST" button until the display shows "A.AUX", then pressing "GO".

Thanks for your enquiry. I am very sorry but I am not aware of any way reliably use streaming devices such as Amazon Firestick, Sky Q, Chromecast, Apple TV, etc. with older TVs that don't have HDMI sockets fitted. Adapters or converters don't usually work well, as the protection software in the streaming device can turn off the signal unless a TV with an HDMI socket is detected.

It depends which Beovision you have (eg. Beovision 7, Beovision 4, etc) Some newer B&O TVs need the later BeoRemote One Bluetoth remote, you local B&O dealer should be able to advise.
