Mate! You’ve been dropping by the construction site for several months now and I just did not believe they would be able to finish it in time. Mad props to the development company and the workers. They deserve to be exceptionally proud of what they’ve achieved. Well done indeed!

SEA is just a great part of the world . Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur , HMCity , Vientienne, Pnom Phen ,. The people are relaxed , they love family and culture are well adjusted and are not excessive .That makes SEA so great for visiting .If only they had the cool weather of Cape Town it would have been perfect.

The Christmas trees are from an Australian island off the east coast. They’re called Norfolk Island pines and they have a unique ability to be immune to salt and probably pollution because of a waxy coating they grow. It’s really nice to see a little touch of Australia in downtown Bangkok.

I never thought this could be done so quickly, very impressive, now the question is, where are they going to put the grey line? And hopeless the rest of the canal can see a similar upgrade soon, along with the water quality.

Before building, the design has already been prepared. It will occupy the road area of the existing BRT lane. Because it is a monorail system, the pillars and beams are not as large as BTS. The water system has separated the bile ducts. with wastewater separated from each other But this is not complete because the pipes have not been installed along the way. therefore still unable to make the water in Only often water from the Chao Phraya River comes to help. Until then, the wastewater enters the treatment plant. and use the water obtained at Lumpini Park and the park at this canal

Yep its great to see plants anywhere in Bangkok. I would however prefer the see far more of the khlongs fully re-opened, planted with street trees alongside, and electric ferries running their full length not just on one or two isolated khlongs and a few others short distance beautified ones but whole khlongs throughout the city as it was once. Surely efficient, plentiful (every 10 minutes say) and connecting clean, silent, ferry systems would really transform the city. I remember BKK from the very early eighties and how many of the large khlongs were still operative and the difference it made to the city was wonderful.

Glad with its construction by early January it’ll look to be fully completed at the max by February for sure same when the park opens! Hopefully they also redo the bridge you were on! Might as well improve everything there. They need to invest in strong wider bridges with 12 foot deep steps for us bigger feet folks 😆!

As a Bangkok people, there are many people complaining about the problems of this project. For example, wheelchair accessibility, cheaply made handrail, poorly decorated light on trees, unnecessary rock decoration etc. So, the city still need more up improvements to meet up with Bangkok people’s satisfactory.

Thank you for this update. I originally thought that the new park was on the Mahanakhon side, but your video suggests that it is accross Sathorn. A work like this would have taken two years in Toronto! It's amazing this was completed in 2 months!
Seems like construction in Thailand either happens really fast or really slow. Glad to see this one looks almost done! I’m still waiting for construction on the new forest park to complete 😊
