Yea, she has grown on me over the decades. I was smitten first by Vicki, then Susanna, now I appreciate Micki after learning more about her musical career. She been through it, dealing with divas and a lowlife manager with The Runaways, then playing for various groups, then dealing with more divas and close knit sisters in The Bangles. She says she struggled with demands and pressures of touring. With her disappearance, you wonder if she has had bi-polar issues to deal with.

Good God. Hard to believe it's 34 (now 36 almost) years ago. I recall that this song took off like a rocket in 1986, and felt kind of like a standard all by itself. And oh yes. This song illustrates one of the Bangles most, IMO, underappreciated strengths. Yes, Susanna became sort of the "face" of the Bangles later, but any one of them could lead a song and the others would provide perfect, harmonious backing vocals. Even though Debbie doesn't get to sing on this one, the lead going between the other three demonstrates it.

Never gonna happen... Females don't play musical instruments these days anymore like this, would be near impossible for 3 or 4 girls who can jam to even be friends and know each other, let alone come together and form a band or even be successful... Hell men don't even really play anymore its sad... Unfortunately its not about the music, talent, creativity or self expression...its ONLY about selling records and greedy dollar bills...

I do what...:... back in the 80s, we had them! Any number of them. All good, all hot, all very rock & roll!!!

@John Smith:... yes... yes we do. If you don't like this... don't listen! If you prefer TODAYS GIRL singers (Justin beiber, Katy Perry, camilla cabello, one direction, drake, Rihanna, usher, that sort of thing) then go and listen to them. But don't click on a song/artist you don't like, put yourself through listening to their stuff you don't like, then compound your very public stupidity further, by making a twat of yourself in the comments section... that's just asking for ridicule. Still, my hopes weren't high.

@@xardiannon5038 I think it's reasonable to assume that 99.9% of Bangles fans, were not aware of Bathory 😁
