This is a review of the Cling Pro Frailing Pick for clawhammer style banjo. It's the best downpicking pick I've every had the pleasure of using both in terms of comfort and sound.
This review is 100% independent, and my honest impressions of the Cling Pro frailing pick. I have no financial ties to Cling Pro Picks, nor was I paid for this video!
The demo portion of this video is quieter than you're used to hearing on my channel because I did not process the audio at all. It's raw, and low in volume to avoid activating the limiter I usually use in the mastering process. I experience a noticeable difference in volume when using the pick versus using a very short fingernail.
I hope this helps some of you find a solution to having short striking nails. I know that this can be very frustrating.
I will always think that natural nails are the best sounding and feeling way to play clawhammer, but when you break a nail, cannot grow a long nail or just want to preserve your striking nail for recordings, jams and gigs, this is an excellent insurance policy.

The soundtrack is an original banjo piece called "HalfTide".
