This is SO greatly informative and entertaining! I am learning so much about the game and life in general. I am watching in bits when I have time, it is like a visual podcast - reminds me of Dan Carlin's Wrath of the Khans series. So many aspects I have never considered or knew existed, like the food stocks and diplomacy menus. Looking forward to your queued up episodes. Thank you for explaining everything too!

I'm honor to be allowed to teach and entertain. My mother was a teacher, grandfather a professor and uncle a professional tourism guide, so maybe I have a mix of all three. When I'm interested in a subject, be it war, history(or Bannerlord), I dig in deep, learn all I can and then strategize how to master my skills in that genre. I have more to share so I hope you stick around friend.

Genuinely felt the pain in your voice when the cities started falling. Crazy how much the game punishes you when you reach a certain point. Never have seen anything like it (in a good way)

Right as I got excited for the epic siege at the end I realized you cut it from this video, and I don't yet see it uploaded. What a tease man. Looking forward to see it!

Fellas keep suggesting I should slow down how often I release updates lol - so I'm trying to find a balance. I do understand not everyone can spend a half hour once a day watching videos so I'll do my best so keep things coming without overwhelming folks. It's comforting to know though that people are eager to see what happens. There's some cool ass shit upcoming, I promise!

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions i completely get that side of it too and I reckon they've got a good point! I was just so sad when I got to the very end and the excitement for the siege had built up to be cut off like that haha! I'm in a campaign much like yours right now, heavily modded (nothing cheesy though) and I'm somewhat around the same place you are, but you brought up some solid pointers in terms of bolstering kingdom clans' armies with influence and money. Do you know if the deserters will always be the low tier soldiers or if it chooses at random because I have been avoiding going over the top due to not wanting to loose veteran troops because I got a little too eager and brought too many recruits for fodder on a newly sieged garrison?
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions

I've tested this three times and twice it dumped only low level troops. The other time was more recent patch and it did allow some mid-level guys to go as deserters but I'm going to test it more since I use it as a strategy.@@Colouras

Thank you, brother, I appreciate all of the comments and subscribers! I had shingles for a week or so, and isolated from my wife and work, I just played Bannerlord and made videos in between sleeping spells LOL. I have literally a dozen episodes queued and ready for release over the upcoming few months - so I'm anything but burned out.

Still watching, but having more vassals and family members might help with defense? I've got most of the northern map right now. I've got like 12 clans, and about 30 family members. Between my clan parties and the armies my vassals can field, we are holding off Vlandia, Battania, Northern Empire, and Khuzait (almost eliminated), with my own army available to capture and get into punch outs with other large armies. Just a suggestion
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions

No, you're dead on. Whenever possible you want to recruit other clan leaders, even at a cost of a few million denars. In fact in the middle to end game, the best way to start rolling up the map is buying off the enemy, kind of like what kingdoms did in the 1600s.

How to use companion parts? What does aggressive do? What does defensive do? What do neutral do?
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions

That setting basically orders how they act on the campaign map. Aggressive means raiding and/or siege enemy forces, defense is the opposite of course, and it means protecting you from raiders and staying closer to home...

If troops are deserting from your party will they always be low tier? I'm worried the game picks some random units including my elite.

I'll add it to my list of subscriber interests. It kinda boils down to "make sure you have badass troops and companions" lol, but I can do a little more in depth view of the army, yes.

I’ve never actually devastated a town before now that I think about it. When you devastate a town, do you not conquer it?
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions

You own it but it's infrastructure is badly damaged. Walls can be reduced to the lowest level, other buildings, prosperity crashes, law and order get ugly, more revolts, etc.
@landencolomer1395

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions That sounds counterintuitive. Why would I damage the infrastructure of a city that I, or my empire now owns? EDIT: I have yet to finish the video, so I should probably do that before I ask anymore questions
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions
9 ай бұрын
Haha, no it's fine to ask. In my campaign, I'm fighting against seven Kingdoms at once, and slowly being beaten into a corner. To try and take one of the enemies out(for a while), I went deep into their territory, and sacked/devastated four of their cities and three castles. This will dramatically reduce their ability to attack me - first having to retake their cities/castles, but second their financial situation so severely damaged will reduce the size of their attacks for a long time.@@landencolomer1395

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions I think I understand. In other words, the aim isn’t to keep those territories, but rather force the enemy to have to spend time and money taking that territory back and dealing with the consequences of the devastation.

Yep, from a warfare perspective, the term is generally called scorched earth or razed ground strategy. You're depriving the enemy of resources, without killing soldiers - in the civil war(US), that's what General Grant pursued, a tactic to destroy the enemy's land/resources, not kill every soldier.@@landencolomer1395
