Frusciante's playing is gorgeous as usual, but I would also like to point out that this is some of the best chill drumming I've heard. It's not easy to play outstanding drums for a ballad.

There are times when you should know When all you feel is alone A real friend shares pain with you And who cares, who dares to be the one thats true I know my real friends Pull me off the roof again Life can play some games on your mind Let your heart trust an outer eye A friend who loves you till the end A friend, my friend, until the end My friend...

yeah i get what you mean bro. :) i meant that hes the same person physically and spiritually. he might have not given a shit during that time, but he knew what he had to do that to become who he is now. i still kinda see the same person except for the fact that now he realizes that being famous and rich allows him to do what he wants and he takes advantage of that now. (in a good way) he can just concentrate on music and nothing else, no job, nothing. and he'd probably say the same. :)

There is no "drug John" nor "sober John" there is simply "John Frusciante". :) also whats up with everyone just talking about johns guitar playing? the lyrics are genius and that drum beat makes the song! give credit where it is deserved. :) haha

@JuanAlvarado-oq3xc

Well It is true that he isn't as "clean" as Jeff Beck or other guitar greats. John Frusciante's playing style is to be sloppy. It is what gives him his character, his personal touch, and particular sound. To me he is an absolute genius who uses the "sloppyness" as another resource for his playing.
