What if the adult converts was baptized by a woman or gay priest or both in a mainline Protestant, Lutheran or Anglican Church with full Emerson in the name of the Holy Trinity? Is that acceptable to only then be Chrismated and not Re Baptized ?

Formally, there is no need to rebaptize those, that were baptized in the name of the Holy Trinity. Even if the clergy who performed baptism were not “up to the standards of the Orthodox Christianity”. The converts from the Protestant denominations are received into Orthodoxy through Chrismation only.

@@OrthodoxTalks This is not true. It may be true about your parish, but ROCOR and Greeks will not deny a person a proper Orthodox Baptism. Baptism is the normative means of conversion, read the writings of Archbishop chrosostomos from Greece. He goes as far to say that a reception without offering Baptism first is not a valid reception.

Thare are two ways about the reception of converts within the Orthodox Church. Yes, Greek Churches and ROCOR use the formula you mentioned but the non-greek churches use the formula I mentioned.

Wow that’s amazing to me that someone baptized by a Protestant gay woman pastor would be ok in the Orthodox Church to then only be received by Chrismation.

@@Alex-gx5mb You're right to have such thoughts. In Russia, Greece, etc. They would not view such a baptism as valid. It is normative for Protestants to convert via Baptism and Chrismation, only in the west have they changed this, mostly only within OCA. Fr Seraphim Rose calls this a dangerous form of ecumenism and a sign of the times. Regardless of the jurisdiction, if you were baptized in such a degrading way and expressed desire for baptism to convert, they will do so. This is more of an issue for a convert to speak with to a Priest.
