Probably because the grammy nomination is the most recent/relevant news. If you tried to fit all she has done in 2021 within a 3 minute interview, you'd really have to rush through. Even this video kind of hurried her personal anecdotes due to a time crunch

Ha. I'm 61 and a fan since their first album Psychopomp. You should check 'em out; it's pop with a bite. She also does great visual art and directs videos. She's a real polymath.

that comes from her East Asian culture where it's considered rude (for women) to laugh out loud showing mouth and teeth. even though she was raised in the U.S. from when she was a baby, clearly her mother's culture has rubbed off. now, whether you consider that practice sexist or not, that's a separate debate, but you shouldn't make a comment that--on the face of it--sounded ignorant.

@@fluffyclouds555 well, the covering of the mouth when laughing is a "stereotypical" gesture among East Asian women. she's doing it bc she's feeling self-conscious, and that comes from an ingrained culture that she's been exposed to. i don't find it good or bad, it is what it is. i simply understand where she's coming from and i respect that she embraces that.
