Barboza e um lutador fenomenal e tem uma consciência cósmica. Poderia ter por várias vezes desferido joelhadas para desfigurar o Dan, mas ele lembrou que do outro lado tem um colega de profissão, um pai, um marido, um filho. This was so unnecessary. MMA has some of the worst regulation in terms of reffing and ringside doctors. How do you have a crew of doctors, a ref in the cage, just letting this go on? Because he can follow their finger with his eyes & tell them what day it was? I'm sure he was pissing blood the next day regardless. Totally unnecessary. Boxing at least has the decency to call it when a guy is clearly out of the fight and taken too much damage, and they get paid much more on average.
@2ederson
3 жыл бұрын
Yeahhhhh no... In boxing they only ever call fights out for economic purposes, fixed fights, not because "Aw the fighter can't continue" Continue watching your precious fixed boxing, very clearly you're not made to watch any other sport, golf might be more of your liking ;)
@andyandrews5146
3 жыл бұрын
@@2ederson You've probably watched like 3 matches. Fights from the amateur level (which has no stakes) to the highest level are called because they get to a point where they are uncompetitive and unnecessary. Too many MMA fans & camps lack the decency and humility to accept that and it shows in the culture, i.e. your response.

@harrymiles2906

The ref or Dan's corner should have stopped that fight at least 45 seconds before the end of the round. Dan was just taking a beating and it was evident he was hurt and wasn't effectively fighting back. Fighters can only take so much damager in their career before their milage starts getting shorter. Hooker is too young in his career to take a beating like that. Tough as nails tough! Look at what happened to Tony after Justin gave him that beating. He's not been the same since. There is also the mental aspect of getting beaten like that. Over time it has the potential for many fighters to diminish their self confidence.

Tough to say, Tony took a massive amount of head strikes and leg kicks over 5 rounds. Though Hooker sustained lethal blows to head, legs, and definitely the body. Hooker would have definitely been hurting more overall, but Tony likely got CTE from his fight if he hadn't already
