Performed at the 2011 Coming Out Monologues on the campus of Texas A&M University, made possible by the GLBT Resource Center.
About TCOM
Students at the University of California at Riverside created the original "Coming Out Monologues" production in 2007. "The Coming Out Monologues" were inspired by the Vagina Monologues written by Eve Ensler and annually sponsored by their national organization, V-Day. It is suggested that each campus create their own script when deciding to produce "The Coming Out Monologues", as each campus has the opportunity to empower their own community to share their own stories.
These monologues are a collection of stories authored and performed by the Texas A&M University students, faculty, staff and community members. They are a representation of diverse and unique experiences from people who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied.
