That knife is worth its weight in gold. It's rare, it is perfectly built by BRKT and it works for pretty much everything. I love mine. Okay, this knife is heavy and the sheath is too long for the size of the blade, but I love it. Thanks for the update. SOG comparisons are highly appreciated.

Thanks for the update. I ended up picking up a Micarta version. Didn't know the originals were really thick stock as well. The SOG comparison will be interesting. ATB.

@@glbwoodsbum2567 Still waiting your SOG Bowie vs Bark River Comparaison video but if you want to compare apple to apple then compare Bark River MACV vs the original SOG S1 made in Seki Japan out of SK-5 carbon steel....not the "display" SOG AUS-8 made in taiwan... I still have my S1 Seki bought back in 1986 and its a user
