Note: None of the events depicted in this video actually happened.
Once upon a time, in late 1988, the first Barney Error happened, and it would hide inside game cartridges, and then later infect the player’s console. It affected 1,920 units, but out of all of those people, only one recorded it, and it was Blaze Tokyo’s dad. It was recorded on December 6, 1988, and was recorded near midnight. The punishments would get worse and worse until it reached the worst punishment, and it said no escape under worst punishment (VHS logo is covering it, but you can still kinda see it), and at that point, he would “take away” your system, but Blaze Tokyo’s anonymous dad had a school bully, but he was one of the people that got their systems infected by the Barney Error, so he stopped it by placing a bomb right next to Barney, and it exploded, saving the system from getting “taken away” at the last second. It sounds very fake, but if there was no video of it, no one would believe it.
Edit 1 (2/27/2024): Also, wondering how the graphics look so good for the Atari 2600? Infected cartridges had a special processer (kinda like the Super FX chip on SNES), which allowed better graphics, which meant the Barney Error would look better. The Super FX chip was in some SNES games, and allowed said games on the SNES to have 3D graphics. The special chip in the infected cartridges allowed the Atari 2600 to load low resolution images.
