Awesome video. I'm not much of a fisherman myself, but I reckon you might need a bigger landing net. That one just doesn't seem up to the job! I love that you seem to be the only boat out fishing, and I sure your not, so top marks on the editing. It is as good as you fishing skill in my opinion. You videos are always relaxing, entertaining and a hint of expectation of what is still to come. Keep them coming you are doing a great job.

He looks like he’s up far North Queensland there isn’t as many people about you there and if he’s fishing through the week he’s more then likely going to be the only bloke on the water I’m from Sydney and through the week water ways are very quiet 👌 also I’m very jealous of the place he gets to fish

Those barra looked very healthy and good size for eating. Now that it's starting to warm up the barra should be on the bite more. Another quality video mate.

Nice video Brad.. nice size Barramundis . see if you can modify the Handle on the fishing net where its long enough so you can tuck the handle under your armpit for one arm stability and long reach in front for easier catching and handling.. nice fillets.

Too true, fresh fish is expensive to buy. I am sure you would still be capable of throwing a cast net even after a long break away from it. Thanks for your comment. Cheers mate!👍

I used to use 2 anchors alot but got tired of the stuffing around so I put a Minn Kota on my boat, so much easier. Just so you know mate prawns and shrimp are 2 different species, especially the american shrimp.

I’m sure the Minn Kota is a great addition to your boat. There are advantages and disadvantages to all options. My boat is so light anchoring is not an issue. Cheers!👍

@@returnoutdoors2210 My boat is a plate boat so abit heavy, had to switch to a plough anchor to proper bite on all bottoms.

hey mate i am northwest boy that does alot barra fishing i am just wondering do you let the fish run while using live bait or whack as soon as possible
@returnoutdoors2210

What works for me is to apply steady pressure on the fish once I feel it moving off with the bait. Thanks for your question!👍

What I wouldn't give for a fresh saltwater Barra fillet..I grew up eating them in the Daintree region but have lived in the US for 40 odd years now. I've ordered Barra here in the States online from various suppliers, and its pure shite!..god knows when they were harvested and how long they've been frozen.

Sounds like you have some wonderful memories of growing up in the Daintree area. There is definitely something special about freshly caught saltwater Barramundi. Thanks for taking the time to comment! Take care!👍
