I don't have any proof of this but, when I was a unit armorer in the US Army back in the late 80 early 90, they told us at unit armorer school. That the army snippers did research on weapons that were roded only 1 way ( direction of bullet travel) vs weapons that were roded bi-directionallt. What they found out that over time the weapons that were roded only 1 direction were more accurate than the weapons roded bi-directionallt. That's what they taught us at the Army unit armorer school. Take that with a grain of salt. Just trying to pass on some information right or wrong. Gregg Muse

I use to clean my barrel but never just one part of the barrel. It would push a oil patch through then remove the patch and put another clean oil patch back and remove patch to replace with oil patch till I felt the barrel was had been completely protected then push a dry patch through a couple of time to take up excess. I tried clean for cleaning but I didn't like shooting out of a clean barrel. It isn't as consistent as shooting out of a barrel that has been shot through multiple times. It is almost as bad as shooting through a really hot barrel.
