It's solid, definitely not an all the time pie, definitely too pricey, they don't do slices, the only things that I find genuinely valuable about Maker is that 1. They use one of the best brands of pepperoni (tho arguably a bit too much) and 2. Their cross between Neapolitan and New York is pretty unique and I haven't found much else like it with as even leopard spotting. Just not my go to, heavy is the word as this thing really is a rich grease bomb of a pie. 10 bucks cheaper with individual slices and it could be a winner, definitely not Dave's style tho

Try Pizzeria Badiali for sure, and get to a Leaf game for the ultimate Toronto experience. You'll need to drop 3-4K on the Leaf tickets.......6-7K if you include beer & snacks. They play Boston on Friday! :)

Go to Mac's pizza (at least 8.5), pizza badiali, descendant pizza for Detroit style (8.6 on a good day) and Cowabunga in Hamilton (8.8) Pizza Nova is better than maker 😂

Reason for makers to say they made your pizza in 3 minutes: their oven imported from Sweden which is like a novelty in North America. 800 degree oven you find in legendary places like Sally’s and stuff, this shit is at 825. Honestly I knew makers isn’t pres’ style but their pizza is too unique so they deserve a review here in Toronto. Now: Remaining good pizza places that pres won’t like due to their style but deserves a review: - oro di Napoli (obviously Neapolitan style) - descendant Detroit style pizza - maybe if you have the time/stomach fourth man in the fire/8 mile Detroit style. Pizza that aren’t as good but more suited for your style and will definitely get bigger scores than the ones above: - badiali - conzos - Fresca

Toronto has a lot of great neopolitan pizza places but it ain’t strong on the New York style. Maker is one of the worst places to go to, he should talk to Toronto Italians for the best spots. Via Mercanti is my top choice, but libretto and pizza e Pazzi are good to, especially if you like neopolitan stule
