@eldon226

Edang5662 I did it just like I would have done it with the regular button. The coin acceptor is connected to my USB encoder like the game buttons are. So you can just setup the entire configuration with a coin button, then plug out the button and replace it with the coin acceptor.

If I have acceptor coin processors, then if set up 3 different coins you can set emu mame so that the amount of money thrown in credits like 20 cent 1 credit 50 cent 3 credit

KRIS B I'm not sure on that, I no longer have that cabinet either. You'll just have to go through all your emulator settings to see if it has the feature you're looking for

@eldon226

I no longer have that arcade, however, I remember it being straight forward, just cut a rectangular opening larger enough to fit the back of the coin acceptor through, you can test your opening with a piece of cardboard before you actually cut the arcade cabinet.

@eldon226

jny78 I don't, but if you visit the site that I bought it from they have a video of how to program the different coins. Apart from that you'll just connect it to your USB encoder just like you do your game buttons.
@jons72

Do you map the coin "button" to player coin 1 and 2? Or how does having one coin acceptor affect two player games? For example I currently have two separate buttons, one for player 1 coin and another for player 2 coin.
@eldon226
7 жыл бұрын
jons72 I have the coin acceptor only connected to player one, most games only need to have a certain amount of credit to start a second player, it doesn't matter if the coins were added by player one or player two. Some games however does need the coins to be added by a specific player. For those games I went to the game settings and link the coin acceptor to each player. So if you add 3 credit to player one it automatically add 3 for player two also. I know I had to do that to x-men and tnmt.

i looked at the video of the coin acceptor you use but i dont see a micro switch to attach to a pi ? also what do you use to power it ? thanks
@eldon226
7 жыл бұрын
cliffbeauchamp I use a 12v power adapter to power the coin acceptor. You don't need any additional micro switches, there are wires attached to the coin acceptor that acts like your micro switches, these wires will connect in the same exact place you would normally connect other micro switches to your USB encoder. I don't remember the wire colors but black will be your ground, red positive, and you can use a multimeter to test the other two, the other two will close for a split second(s) after a coin is accepted.
