I normally dismissed Ballet as a "girlie" way of dancing, until I saw Mikail one day. Every move he performed personified power and grace. His jumping alone made him look like a superhero! He had incredible hang time, (just like Michael Jordan) watching him I realized how incredible athletes ballet dancers were.

All I can say is that I'm so glad I was alive to see him dance at his peak. I still remember as a teenager being bored and channel surfing one Sunday when I saw this guy dancing on channel 13. Normally I would've turned immediately, but THIS guy seemed so undeniably strong graceful and masculine. I was hooked.

I have to give all of my thanks physically possible to one magnetpi99 for this. Honestly. Like most of the world, Mikhail Baryshnikov is my favorite danseur. There are many greats, but Misha is to ballet what Ali was to boxing, what "The Babe" was to baseball, what Shakespeare was to the theatre and what Balanchine was to... well, ballet. The man deserves a documentary made about him. He deseves have as many tributes to him as George Washington. He deserves our worship. --Merde, Dane Youssef

Baryshnikov has always been my favourite classic dancer. Despite he's one of the worst english speakers (he really is!! haha), I loved him since I watched 'White Nights'. He's got this special way to turn dancing into a soul expression. He makes art so simple to feel, to admire, to reach...

So glad you uploaded the entire documentary + ballet!! Check out the late, great pianist John Browning in part 5---he was the one that Barber wrote the concerto for. How time flies! Browning has been dead over 10 yrs. and Misha is 65 years old...
