Hello Friends! You are probably wondering what happened to your daily Animal Adventures videos. I just got out of the hospital emergency room, I was diagnosed with Influenza A. It's about all I can do to feed the dogs and crawl into bed, extreme fatigue. Sounds like it will be at least a week or so until I can get back into the daily vlogs. Stay tuned for more content!

Hello from England, I live a little too far from Colorado to be able to buy one of your beautiful ball pythons in a show, but one day I'd love to make that long journey over the pond to a show.

Greta video Chris! I been doing a few videos to help folks prepare to bring their first snakes home. These are important and I am glad you have people who come to you with questions about the animals they get from you and can trust you enough to come to about animals they get from other people. Have a great day!

Hey Chris, I have a very elaborate question. How do snakes have such a variety colors and mutations? I’ve dug into it a bit but what I’ve concluded in most cases is that it’s truly luck with some genetic knowledge that give us these breeds. I personally love the Burmese python and own a pair. I would love to see more color diversity in my field. I’m a new lifetime Burmese keeper who really wants to see the breed become more popular and have more exciting colors and patterns. Thank you for your amazing content as always!

Luiz Hernandez from what I heard the Burmese and Retics are about to be banned and will have to have a special license to keep them which costs almost 1k per snake!! 🤦♂️

As anyone who has seen my videos knows, I don't have a ball python and don't intend to get that kind of snake. If I had one, I'd have no reason for not showing it on my channel; but my yellow rat snake named Jewel is cool. Take care and God loves you.

I have two ball pythons that are very fussy. They only eat soft fur multimamates. They will both refuse mice and rats. Live or dead. They slither other end of viv away from the thing. My third Ball python is a good girl she will eat anything. She's not fussed.

Hey Chris quick question: I recently received a snake from morph market. His b day was July 2018. I recieved him Feb 2019 and he weighted 127gms. He was malnourished( prominent spine), had retained shed and arrived cold.this snake came from a "reputable" breeder. Here's my problem: am I out of line to expect a healthy and well nurished animal?? I was very disappointed with the experience and left a honest review and stated I will not be buying from this breeder again. I'm not a novice and know a male BP at age 6mon should weight much more than 127gms. At this point I wont be purchasing any additional internet animals for my collection. What's your take on all this??
@goddessisis2961

If you recieved a snake in that condition, I would contact the breeder directly with picture of the animal. Most reputable breeders will make it right. I'm sorry you experienced this, but not all breeder are the same everyone makes mistakes, don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch.

Nice ......do you think they eat better in a rack inside a tub ....or enclosure
@goddessisis2961
5 жыл бұрын
Snakes will eat where they are comfortable, weather it's a rack or glass enclosure. I started off feeding my babies in a feeder bin because the pet shop I got them from did it, but I slowly transitioned them to eating in their enclosures. Tank or bin aggression only occurs if the only time you open their enclosures is to feed them is when they associate your hand/ opening bin with food.

How do you euthanize rats for the food? I used to have a colony of pet rats a while back (around 40 in total), and I had to euthanize a bunch because of massive cancerous tumors, and I used a co2 chamber.

Instead of feeding live or Frozen thawed couldn't you euthanize the rat with CO2 and then feed the snake with the rat's body still warm

Does anyone ever try chicks when they won't eat or are they strictly rodent eaters?
@goddessisis2961
5 жыл бұрын
I've tried hamsters, small fuzzies, snake sausage[ its ground up rat, quail, and egg] when a ball python goes on a feeding strike it just does nothing will really snap it out of it except when it's ready to eat. You just gotta weigh him or her and make sure it doesn't loose more than 10% of their body weight or become lethargic, if they do get them to a vet.
