Great tutorial Brinkley, thank you. I do a lot of swimming and snorkelling (well before we went into the upside down!!!) and find I can't hold my breath for very long which is frustrating. I think practicing this will help. Please cover some detail regarding equalising too, I struggle with this also. Cheers, Dean.

Could you make a video to show one of your dives. For example when you are in open water how prepare for a dive using these techniques and when you do your recovery breath once your up. Loved this vid and it was super helpful!

Great to see someone finally give us an insight to this... quite similar principles to pranayama and yoga nidra. Brinkley one thing I'm wondering about though is how your maintaining you're hold under water when you're say, swimming and "powering through" to another area for example. When you're breath holding, is it more about your movement underwater being floaty as opposed to more "active" movement? As we get more active in movement, the heart rate will increase, thus the body wants oxygen. So I'm guessing we want the heart rate to stay even/low. I hope I'm describing this so that it makes sense properly...

Great content and messaging, hopefully your collaboration with YBS will help hone Brodie's already very capable breath hold ability and the YBS crew can capture even more fantastic underwater footage. I'm sure I will benifit from a bit of structured conditioning. Just a bit of constructive feedback I was watching on my phone, the volume was a bit sketchy and it would have been helpful if you also used hand gestures to indicate when holding (maybe a closed hand ) and exhaling (an outward hand gesture). Gentle rising and falling of the hands to intricate relaxed tidal breathing might also be helpful, cheers.

That's so cool to see at time stamp 14.12. Can see you having contractions, you dont normally see that in freediving videos, probably due to the wet suit covering it. Or some other reason. Just wondering what sort of depth you where at. Cheers
