That's something you have to get used to. When I learn English, I had to deal with the similar thing - some of'em were easy to remember (play-played, pick-picked...) and some weren't (draw-drew, run-ran, go-went...). I didn't try that hard to memorize them, it's rather that I get used to them as I kept using and hearing those words.

my daughter is learning irregular past tense verbs now in her class and now I get it. When you're so accustomed to using the language, you forget that at one point you did not know certain things. So hopefully, I can have hope in learning a new language through repetition and practice.

That's a good question. I chose those three verbs because they're probably three most common verbs in Korean. Some verbs with ㅗ like 보다 놓다 돌다 쏘다, their original past forms are 보았다 놓았다 돌았다 쏘았다 - 보았다 & 쏘았다 normally get shorten as 봤다 & 쐈다. I can go further about this but it would be too long, so I'll just put some examples. 사다-샀다 타다-탔다 자다-잤다 만나다-만났다 감다-감았다 알다-알았다 팔다-팔았다 나서다-나섰다 건너다-건넜다 벌다-벌었다 얼다-얼었다 주다-주었다(줬다) 두다-두었다(뒀다) 불다-불었다 풀다-풀었다 품다-품었다 As for the 하다-했다 one, it's another long story.

this is one of the best lessons on the internet and I plan on keeping this one on loop! It is just like my actual Korean lessons that I had to stop taking the day before BTS' LY:SP concert, and never resumed now that I moved away...The other lessons that I have been watching here allow me to cheat by keeping the English ever present so my eyes look at the romanization in stead and I'm right back to square1. At least here, I see the Hangeul first while hearing it then English and that makes all the difference, pausing to write (when not driving lol).

This is an amazing and easy to understand lesson! (Though I almost cried when you switched from 반말 to polite form....because there is sooooooo much to remember! But at the end it was not that tough!) If you have time please make a video concerning verb endings (like..-.면, -니까?) Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!
