I hoped you enjoyed a thing or two from the video~!
These are the points again, if you want a recap because I know this video is super long and you might of forgotten-;
Starting from the first concept, movie Title.
1. think of something original and catchy but yet still, short; like Inseperable, it’s a one word title, The word itself is decently long. For me, One or two word titles are easier to remember, so your viewers can personally look back at your creation without struggling to remember the entire phrase. You can also check if the movie title is already taken by searching on the KZitem bar, type in the mini movie title you consider of using and search if it exists or not, If there are, I would try using a thesaurus. A fun fact, i was planning to name my movie ‘Unbreakable’ but there was already someone who used it, so I went on a thesaurus and found ‘Inseparable’.
2. Connect your title to the movie itself; Like howls and feathers, In it you can clearly see that howling and the feathers plays an important role in the story overall. I personally, create the mini movie title first then create the movie itself so that I can get an idea of what the mini movie should include. However after I finish editing, I might consider changing the title again.
The second concept you should consider are OC designs.
1. Don’t use bizarre colors; Highly suggested you don’t use these colors; . For me, I enjoy going for a more natural and realistic look, like shown; .
2. Go for outfits that you consider going for; Sometimes, I see Gacha movies where they have their characters with such revealing outfit. {Unless it’s for a pool or beach scene, but even some people who goes there uses such revealing outfits}. Some Outfits tends to go over board, either it’s really revealing to really baggy. The note that I would keep in mind whenever I create outfits, is that weather you choose the top or the bottoms, in my example I’ll do long sleeves for the top, the bottom could be short to knee length bottoms or skirts. And vise versa.
3. Use a variety of skin tones; I used to not follow this tip, but after a while, if you enjoy seeing movies, there are lots where all of them are pale and white. I would love for this community to use other skin tones.
4. Don’t go for the stereotypical; The character with blonde hair, revealing outfits, skirts, makeup are the bad characters, the characters with black hair, black outfits are the EMO or bad boys. People with glasses are nerds. The people with the bad backstory and the ones who look hurt are always the bully victims. Don’t follow them! Generally in life, this is not how it works, I know this is online, but it just portrays that certain people with that physical appearance are all always going to be seen as that specific character with that trait.
Third and final concept are Thumbnail and others, this is a general category that I can’t really put into groups.
1. Don’t always put ‘the alpha..’ in your titles if the movie includes wolves as characters; I just see way too many movies with the following phrase ‘The alpha..’ it’s way too common.
2. Make a small script note; This is what I did for my GLMM for Polaroid, Keeping notes and actually writing it down, personally for me, will help me realize if I made a mess up or a scene that looks out of place.
3. Know your movie genre/types; This is fairly important as well, The main ones I see in Gacha movies are horror, adventure, comedy, action, romance. To get things straight, don’t combine and include two genres that totally don’t match and connect from one another in your mini movies. An example, If you decide your movie genre would be horror, don’t include a comedy scene in the middle of a horror scene, it won’t look good.
4. Check your spelling before screenshotting (My opinion;) I personally find it odd to see a phrase mess up, and they correct it next to the chat bubble, it just looks weird and not thought in well.
5. Use the best grammar you can; Using the best grammar you could put in your GLMM will show the efforts you put into it, and it will be much easier for people to read and understand the plot better.
6. It’s best if you don’t use cussing or swearing words and avoid including inappropriate scenes; again, when you upload to youtube, you want your creation suitable young and older viewers.
7. If you aren’t sure of your grammar of the scenes, include a disclaimer; at the beginning, include a note, pointing about the mistakes, mess ups (Grammar) and type of scenes (like murder, LGBTQ+, suicide and etc) that are involved.
Thank you! 💨😌
