Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #348
**This one is NOT for the grandkids!**
Every summer, Basque shepherds lead their flocks up to pastures in the mountains of the Great Basin....and they get lonely being in the mountains all alone with no female company, so they're known to carve some really shocking tree art into the bark of the surrounding aspen trees! Ever since seeing a photo of this "art" in a book, I've been DYING to find some examples of it in the field...and while camping at a hot spring in the eastern Sierra in my vintage travel trailer on my way home from Burning Man, I spotted an aspen grove way up on the ridge that looked promising, so I went to investigate!
