Hey Steve... according to the Piccolo manuals ( I own both Piccolo 600 & newer UL 901) flat setting is 12 o'clock position 5. Set the EQ controls (BASS, MID, and TREBLE) to zero (twelve oʼclock position).

Thank you, I double checked the owners manual and there is no reference to 12 being flat. I do not doubt you are correct I just set as flat as possible and rolled it over.

HI @@SteveTheBassGuy There are inconsistencies on the product manuals from Epifani for this. From my Piccolo 600 PDF "Set the amplifier EQ controls (bass, mid, and treble) to zero (twelve oʼclock position) and begin playing aggressively while turning up the Gain control" From the 2019 PDF for the 333 & 555 it doesn't mention this. "By adjusting the EQ controls, the sound of your instrument can be shaped in very subtle or very dynamic ways. The Piccolo pre-amp is designed to work like the channel strip of a professional mixing console-a little EQ goes a long way. In fact, many sound engineers start with the EQ in the flat position and cut rather than boost frequencies to achieve the desired sound. They then add gain to make up the loss of volume due to the reduction in EQ. Cutting back is often preferred. The Piccolo 999 says the same as the 600 PDF... My UL 901 states the same as the 333 & 555.

Hello! So am I understanding this right? All the way to the left is flat and the only option is boost? Or did you start with everything cut -15db and worked your way toward completely flat?

Hello Steve I replied to your other youtube clip.I'm a Artist of Nick for a long time and I own many of his head's,I see were you are saying flat the control knobs are off.I never knew Epifani head's to be boost only.I don't know if you didn't understand his owner manual when amps are boost only there isn't a notch in the middle.Nick amps are cut and boost,so to be able to have your amp cut and boost you have to have a center point right?Just wanted you to know cause I don't want you to demo his product and not doing a great job.Nick product are one of the best on the market. To me the best, but gear is very opinionated just wanted you to know.
