I gave that fight to JDM but it really could have gone either way. Jack landed cleaner and more often in the 2nd and that was likely enough to negate the control time. Would love to see a full camp rematch down the line

Great interview. UFC should put Bassil on the 294 card. Another comment might be a little of topic. I hope Bassil comes on the show in the future. Reason being I know Ariel and Ali Abdelaziz relationship has been bad last few years. Yes Bassil has different management but he does train with Usman and Justin who are with Ali. So many of fighters with Ali don't come on the show. In my opinion Ariel does the best MMA/boxing interviews.

People who said he won, don't know the judging new MMA criteria regarding takedowns and holding someone down-i.e., control. It only matters whether the other opponent is not being out struck and/or trying to finish his opponent by strikes or submissions. He almost got knocked in the third round, and definitely Jack deserved a 10-8 round. Jack almost got the better of the standup in the second round too. The new judging criteria rewards damage and subs more than getting takedowns and blanketing your opponent which offer no threats via strikes and subs.

We've seen enough examples of short notice guys overperforming against good opposition only to get beaten by far worse opposition when fully prepared. Eg Lando vs Tony, Hernandez vs Dariush. I hope I'm wrong but I really don't see him going very far in the UFC, dude is 8-4 and most of his success against JDM after the first round came from Jack's poor decision making

What a POS downplaying robbing and stealing as a youth. I get he's changed now but he laughed aboutit like he was proud of the fact and it shows his real character. He was edged out by Della Madelena but insists he won because he was so tired he "let" Jack use him as a punching bag. NOT a fan.
