Probably my favorite thing about this is that it’s an excellent new version of the older glatisant video, without invalidating the old one. One of my favorite things about the old one is how it overlaid the “peace conference” radio broadcast with the attack on glatisant, a juxtaposition reflecting the game timeline of how the war didn’t really end with Belka’s capitulation, the original captured that perfectly. The new video lays more focus on the defenders, showing us in much more detail the men on the ground. Bringing to our attention the very human nature of war and conflict. Updating the previous with new context. It honestly feels like the two videos could be different cuts from the same set of events, the newer one perhaps having access to “newly uncovered footage”

If there was anyone out there who I could put all of my trust into making a genuine Ace Combat feature length movie and do it absolute justice, it is only this channel. The level of love and respect these fans show for the work of AC shines through with these 3 minute videos, which have been better than *any* Hollywood produced video game adaptation. This is beyond skill and talent for film production, its an adoration for a genre and a IP we rarely get to see. Fantastic work.

There’s a brilliant little detail at 2:15 - The Belkan soldier has a sunflower patch on his backpack. This is a reference to the tradition among German soldiers during the Second World War, where a sunflower would be planted on their grave, to connect them to the living world after death. This is especially fitting given that Belka has many parallels with Germany in our own world.

Glatisant is one of my favourite missions, specially with the music and radio, but I get why people don't like it. I mean, if you are playing on Ace it's really tough and you need to be swiss crossing all over the place. Plus, if you approach the AA towers on the NE, the damage they cause in seconds is enough to force you to replay the whole mission. Personally, I really want a ACZ remake but this mission with better ground to air AI would be *hell* to survive. It would be a real fortress, tougher than most aces in the game. The first run, where you basically need to fire into bunker slits while level in altitude with them would be near suicide already.
