I'm glad he included the pronunciations of Ra's name, personally hearing it in the Arabic pronunciation is like nails on a chalkboard because I grew up with Batman: TAS and all the other shows that came after that featured Kevin Conroy as Batman (rest in peace) and Mark Hamill as Joker. I just preferred the Hebrew pronunciation because it sounds better and of course I grew up with that pronunciation

I used to prefer "Raish" like you because of TAS. But I've noticed when I see his name written, I think "Rah's" or "Roz"

To be honest, I've always considered Ra's a menace too OP for Batman. Due to his immense wealth, power, subordinates, resources, and intellect, he is a villain on the same level as the enemies of the JLA. Interestingly, Ra's also fought Superman on a few occasions.
@ratedtriplex

Yup. I always thought he was the most dangerous of Batman's foes, more dangerous than the Joker or Bane. He's not just after Batman or Gotham, he's doing things that can change the world. If Ra's was real, COVID would have been his doing.

@@ratedtriplex no wonder he always wants Batman to be his heir ... And i agree he is far more dangerous than all of Batman foes. He still get his ass kicked by Batman but i love his stories the most.

Batman let Ra's kill him to save Damian as always his Bat family always the ones who get him in deep trouble ... Always holding him back or slowing him down And it's getting tiresome how Batman keeps getting killed and resurrected by the Lazarus pit... I wonder what effect did it do to him to his age and his body They simply cannot ignore that he got resurrected more than 3 times recently in Batman vs Robin series and this one bad day...he should be by now much younger and fully healed and with super strength and speed or that would a serious plot hole in Batman comics as they are canon to DC universe.

Read this the other day, and I thought it was a pretty solid, rather entertaining read. It really lines up with the Injustice version of Ra's (I believe both were written by Tom Taylor, so that'd make sense), and makes him less of an outright villain and simply a man willing to do a bad thing for good ends. The way that he essentially defeats Bats is also an interesting moral quandary for Bats, to test whether he really wants justice at all costs or a better world - and what justice would look like in this case.

This art is 🔥, really loved the story as well, it’s a great does the end justify the means dilemma. To be fair I can’t hardly argue with Ra’s here, eliminating “just” 30 people to “save” billions still even if delusional Batman’s conviction to his beliefs that a man should never be judge, jury and executioner is admirable. People always blame Batman for the killings of joker etc. However it’s the justice system that is failing not batman.

Exactly, trust in justice means to uphold the law even when it falters, otherwise we admit to ourselves that evil is so much stronger than good that good must become grey to even compete. Ra's actions made the world a better place. But Batman's actions make humanity better people.

On one hand Ra's goals is reasonable if Batman joined him. He'll have a beautiful wife, a greater resources at his disposal, A Legion of ninjas at the Bat family's command, Permanently save and protect Gotham, and more importantly he'll have a father again.

This one seemed to be the weakest in the series really. Ras has always kinda annoyed me but this book forgot that he's literally willing to kill most everyone to achieve his goals. In fact his goals are killing billions of people. I also don't understand how Elon Musk is a bad guy in this? It seemed more like Tom Taylor wanting to vent his own personal frustrations onto it.

It is a bad day when the playlist is over far too soon. Need more digestible bites! I bet KiteMan's bad day is tied to a recreation of Benjamin Franklin's experiment during a thunderstorm. Calenderman's in a previous life when July and August were added and now the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth months are the 9th, 10th,11th, and 12th. Someone else traumatized Catwoman by hiding a precious jewel in a rocking chair manufacturer and distribution warehouse. What fresh hell awaits and for whom ? The bell, it tolls for ZACH MORRIS! And it's all right.

I enjoy when something questions morals like this. Like, Ra's is a bad guy for sure, but he's actually doing evil things for a good reason. While his methods are terrible, if it's actually improving the world as a whole... Obviously Ra's put a lot of money, time, and effort into this that the average person could never achieve in their world, and it wouldn't IRL if attempted, but it's a fun take still. Thanks for the video!

😊Both the Ras & Riddler stories were entertaining. Often siding with the Demons Head while ultimately pulling for Batman to accomplish his goal. It was really cool to know Ras had achieved such a satisfying victory. With the global wide plan complete, the desired impression made on his grandson, and finally being ahead of Bruce (his pseudo son in law) instead of behind made this a fun story.

Three ... months.....wow. Edited: also batman always chooses to sacrifice people for his code. thats like his whole thing. And a point of contentiousness of his readers. He blames himself..but he really just blames joker and the rest of his Rose gallery for committing crimes and killing people and says one day hopefully they will stop and it will all be worth it. What is "all" you asked? All of the lives that was lost. A real ends justifies the means type of deal. Some writers changed this to "he doesn't trust himself to stop killing" Witch... yeah way better. Batman is crazy and I like how that fits into that narrative.
