@@scottmurray2776 I still laugh just as hard, knowing what is coming. I do remember watching the recording and it ran like a play. There was only one stop- and that was when “Albert” called “Cassandra”- by Raquel’s name. Apart from that one error, every laughing that episode was spontaneous audience laughter. I also remember that the BBC were filming the then lottery show in another studio, and hadn’t many people in the audience. I don’t know if it’s the same now, but then, you applied to the BBC to watch a recording and it was pot luck what you got. So, imagine my joy to get 2 tickets for Only Fools and Horses! Like me, no one else in the queue wanted to swop OFAH for the lottery show!

@@dannylagangonzalez6832 It was a mixture of watching scenes in the flat and the Nags Head live. But scenes were also pre recorded, such as the Batman arrival. youandwhosearmy? I went to Bristol today and my brother showed me exactly where the van breakdown scene was filmed. It was apparently in somewhere called Penn Street. Looking at the shot at 0:25. I recognize that area now. That Granada shop to the right is now a Sainsburys. And to the left of that shot at 0:25, that eventually became part of Cabot circus.
@youandwhosearmy6339
9 жыл бұрын
Darkstar263 Yeah, you're dead right. It's what we all call Broadmead here in Bristol. The later bit, the bit with the robbery is definately in Queen Charlotte st. Just up from where the old music venue "The Granary" used to be. A load of famous bands played there before they got known. And of course, do not forget that Nelson Mandela house is situated just behind Bristol City's football ground lol
@Darkstar263

My brother wanted to visit those other locations too but we didn't have time unfortunately. I would like to check them out someday.On a previous visit a couple of months ago, me and my dad went into a memorabilia shop in the Galleries shopping centre and they supposedly had the actual watch from Time on our Hands on display in the window. It was framed and being sold for about 30 grand!. Yesterday, we spotted something from this episode in that shop; One of the chunky gold identity bracelets framed with a pic of Del and Rodney dressed as Batman and Robin. Also in the frame was the signed cheque for the home improvement grant. That was being sold for about 3 Grand. It's fascinating to look up these things were filmed.

Every year I wish the BBC would show a Christmas special from only fools and horses. Every one was superb. But the laughter from my family over this one where they appear as Batman and Robin is just fantastic. We had tears streaming from our eyes with laughter. There will never be anyone / programme/series that can ever match Only fools and horses as it was so brilliantly acted/ written etc. Thanks for the laughter and the happiness you gave everyone xx

Some of the 15 "thumbs downs" for this video, must've come from the four young muggers.

I almost busted a gut laughing so hard. This is all new to me. I've been watching this along with other shows like Open all Hours, and Goodnight Sweetheart for the past week or two. Absolutely hooked.

Sullivan was an absolute comedy genius for this scene alone. Let alone the rest of the series

The 60s Batman theme homage, the fog and the running. Growing up in the 90s with the Batman Animated series and 60s Adam West repeats I instantly found this the funniest scene in British comedy ever.
