That priest is the same one Clark went to when Zod was asking Clark to turn himself in. The fact that he knew and still didn’t say anything really shows just what type of man he was. He knew Clark was Superman but still went on and treated this as if he was an unfortunate victim of the battle. Attention to detail like this is amazing in these movies. Just wish they would’ve focused more on MoS instead of playing catch up to the marvel universe thing. (Edit. Also! At 2:40 that was the ‘bully’ that Clark saved from the bus and the priest. Showing that the boy never forgot what Superman did but also kept his secret safe. Amazing film.)

Say What you will about the film, like it or hate it, this scene if beautifully shot and edited, plain and simple............... HOWEVER IT SHOULD NOT BE HERE!! It should be like 10 movies from now. To quote Angry Joe from the BvS Review with Him and the Nostalgia Critic: "I want to see the Justice League at his Funeral, but now I CAN'T! I want to see a hero slowly stripped of his life in the ultimate battle, Instead of just being stabbed in one swoop, BUT NOW I CAN"T! I want to build a connection with this Superman the same way he built a connection with me in hundreds of stories, BUT NOW I CAN'T! I want to fear that this might be the time that Superman doesn't make it back, BUT NOW I CAN'T!"
