This is "Fig," a captive-born straw-colored fruit bat that lives at the Organization for Bat Conservation's Bat Zone at Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The video was shot in slow motion to highlight the amazing beauty of the only flying mammal. Straw-colored fruit bats are the largest bat in Africa, have a three-foot wingspan, and feed on fruit. The largest colony is found in Kasanka National Park in Zambia, numbering up to 8 million! For more information: www.batconservation.org.
