1. Introduction
The BT5525 Battery Insulation Tester is the ideal testing instrument for battery production lines to ensure high quality products and cost efficiency. A simplified 2-wire contact check function and high noise resistivity ensure stable and reliable test results in addition to the effective detection of even miniscule contaminations in the battery material.
As the production of Li-ion cells, modules and packs is ramping up dramatically and will further increase in Europe over the next years, quality and production efficiency will be the key factor for battery manufacturers.
During the production process contaminants can enter the battery material. These contaminants are the main cause of premature cell degradation and in extreme cases can result in self-ignition of battery packs.
